Part Five: The Untold Truth
"How about I show you instead?"

The next day, Mike was practically giving me the cold shoulder. He seemed frustrated, confused, and I didn't exactly blame him either. I mean, I always told Mike about the restaurant and the animatronics. But I always told him how the place was abandoned and I never visited the place besides when I had to check on the place for breaking and enterings.

I didn't tell him about the creepy moving animatronics part though..

..

Yeahh maybe I should have considered warning him about that a long time ago..

Oh well.

Water ran down my back as I wished the water would wash away my thoughts too. Thinking about Mike and what he thought of the gang was giving me a headache, especially now that Mike's working there?

Oh how I wish I knew who my dad was claiming to be.

Knock knock knock

My body jolted in surprise. Turning my head towards the door in shock, not expecting to be practically jumpscared like that.

"Sorry I'm here!"

I replied to the knock. The other side of the door was silent for a second before a raspy voice could be heard through the door. "Can we talk?.." The room was silent again. Both of us waiting for the other to speak up first.

I held my breath as I wrapped a towel around me and opened the door to be met with Mike who was looking at me with soft eyes. I couldn't read his expression all that well, he seemed confused, but he looked like he wanted to understand my part of the story.

I let out an exhale as I looked both sides down the hallway, unsure if this was the right time or not. "What time is it?" I ask Mike who gives me a dumbfounded look. Regardless, he checks his watch where he reads the time.

"Three hours before midnight." Mike mumbled and looked back up at me, still confused whether I was serious or not. I hummed in response to this, before nodding towards Abbys room.

"How about I show you instead?"

The aura was still eerie when we entered the building. Abby had her hand in mine as we stepped in. Everything had changed, the place was much more cleaner and organized. The shelves and arcades have been dusted, pretty much everything looked new from yesterday.

"Is this what you were doing yesterday?" Mike asked in a hushed voice as he took the time to look around. "Figured you might like a clean workplace if you're staying." Abby giggled and let go of my hand as she ran off to the diner to which Mike chased after her repeating her name over and over desperately.

I watched Mike jog after Abby and followed close behind, only I didn't care enough to run.

As soon as we got to the diner, Abby could be seen jumping onto Chica and wrapping her in a hug. Mike skidded to a stop and watched with his eyes wide in fear. I quickly walked over and placed my hand on his shoulder in a reassuring manner.

"As long as she's under supervision, she should be okay. They won't hurt her on purpose." I smiled softly at him. I looked at the gang and saw everyone except Foxy and Golden Freddy were there. I was a bit confused as to where Cass and Fritz were but regardless I didn't pay any mind to it. Instead, I invited Mike to sit next to me at a diner table.

Hesitantly, he took a seat in front of me. He crossed his arms and leaned against the table, it was clear he was waiting for me to talk first.

"Where do I start this?.." I began with a sigh as I also myself copied Mike's position to leaning against the table.

"Ten years ago, when I was seven.. my mother and father separated. Or well, they didn't exactly separate. My mother ran away from home. I never knew why honestly. Me and my sister stayed with my dad. And it was all fine for awhile without mom. My dad helped me get into engineering so he took me to the workshop pretty often. That's where I got my love for robotics and engineering."

Mike kept his eyes on me, I didn't even have to be looking to know he was carefully listening to every word I said. Abby drawing for the animatronics was all blurry in the background.

"You had a sister?" Mike asked. My breath hitched for a moment before I nodded.

"What happened to her?" Mike asked me curiously. I took a deep breath before shaking my head.

"When the workshop opened when I was 11, she always thought dad was the proudest of me. I was always the one into the animatronics and creating them. My dad always sort of looked at her like a failure. She was more like our mom, who always wanted to help people. Ya know, like murder crimes and stuff. My sister never was into engineering as much as I was. Until one night, she disappeared." I say with my breath once again hitching at the memory.

Michaels figure physically stopped breathing for a second as I said this. His eyes were filled with remorse and he took a quick glance at the table to gather his own thoughts.

"We- we don't know what happened." I say sniffling a bit as I felt my eyes begin to get glossy.

"It's like she just disappeared into thin air. And worse of all.."

My breathing became unsteady. My voice cracked a bit at the end. I turned to look away from Mike, unable to look him straight in the eyes.

"My dad didn't fucking care." I said as I aggressively wiped away a tear. Mike stayed silent, his head facing the table we sat on. His dementor was processing and he was silent while I fought back sobs and drowned myself in tears.

"He didn't care. I cried for months about my little sister. But my calls were silenced by our own father." I said as I bit my inner lip trying to keep myself from crying too much.

Mike softly reached his hand out and took mines in it. Giving me a reassuring look. And he was about to speak before I won him to it.

"Years passed and I managed to make friends. I even dated one of my best friends." I say with a small sobby chuckle.

"He was a sweet boy really. We were both 14. All of our friends were around that age. Except Susie, she was the oldest out of all of us and was 15." I explained. A soft smile making its way onto my face from the memory.

Silence fell between us again. None of us daring to say a word. "What happened to him?" Mike spoke up at last. My body physically tensed.

"We broke up, moved on, even our friends, we all separated." I quickly made up. I was not planning on telling him our real story. Not now, maybe not ever.

Mike sighed a bit before glancing at Abby and the animatronics who were all just playing around, "That still doesn't explain them." Mike said as I now looked up and faced the animatronics as well.
