Chapter 1: The Awakening

As the sky above Dehradun darkens from a lunar eclipse, casting an eerie darkness over the sleepy town. Aryan, a college student with a keen sense of curiosity in his rented apartment's balcony, stood transfixed, his eyes fixed on the mesmerizing celestial event unfolding before his eyes.

As the moon's face slowly began to disappear, Aryan felt a chill run down his spine. The air seemed to blow faster, and the world around him took on an otherworldly quality, as if the very fabric of reality had shifted. Unease settled in the pit of his stomach, a premonition of something dark and foreboding to come.

As he was going to go inside his appartment Aryan's gaze was suddenly drawn to a shadowy movement in his peripheral vision. His breath caught in his throat as he witnessed a horrifying sight - a malevolent, humanoid figure emerging from the shadow of a passerby, its features similar to a nightmarish distortion of a human face. The entity moved with a fluid, almost inhuman grace, its long, spindly fingers reaching out to wrap around the neck of the man from whose shadow he emerged.

Aryan watched in paralyzed horror as the man's eyes widened in terror, his struggles growing weaker until his lifeless body crumpled to the ground. The shadow-ghost loomed over its victim, a chilling, inhuman sound echoing in the eerie silence.

He rushed inside and closed the doors to the balcony.
As the lunar eclipse reached its peak, Aryan stood alone inside the appartment, the only witness to this supernatural act. His heart pounding in his chest, fear coursing through his veins, and a sinking realization dawned on him - he might be the the only one who could see this terrifying entity as that man was unable to see that...

The same day as he was going to sleep turning off the lights and shutting all the doors and windows of his apartment. That unease once again came upon him. The shadow that the moonlight was casting over him gave that creature a portal to his room. The shadow ghost was in his apartment now ...

Unable to even move in his first face to face encounter with it Aryan stood transfixed watching that entity from wide opened fearful eyes, his heart beating like a engine, the ghost was doing nothing except noticing that the human infront of it can actually see it, in the attempt to do something, he turns on the lights for which the switch was just beside where he was sleeping...and the entity got vanished...

He realised then that the ghost can only exist when the darkness of shadow is deep enough to let it come out when that darkness turns bright it ceases to exist.
With this knowledge now in hand atleast he knew how to avoid that entity.
