The morning always seemed to be one of the best moments
"Seemed" in fact.
The calm and tranquillity of morning peace, the silence of the sleepers and the sunlight
But there? it was almost never like this
Why?
The silence was interrupted by the walls of the labyrinth once they opened, and the sun was only seen at noon, when it was up in the sky
There were very few animals, and those few were in the woods, or in the people's stomachs
It was all so damn handsome but so damn ugly
Or at least, this was Gabby's vision
"Gabs"
The girl turned around abruptly
"Gal"-She said, smiling at her brother, Gally-"What's up?
"Nothing, I just wanted to say good morning"-He said
She looked at him from head to toe, and all while trying to tie her long blonde hair in a braid
"Oh...well, good morning"
He smiled and then approached his sister, leaving her a kiss on the cheek
At that point he walked away, leaving Gabby alone
The girl back to braiding her hair
But as soon as the hairstyle was finished, a sound she knew very well shook her
She ran out of the infirmary and saw everyone piled up at the place of delivery of the box
"What's going on?"-She asked, approaching
"New Arrival"-Newt replied, walking next to her
At that point the hatch opened, revealing the box
Inside it there was a boy
They opened the grate, and Gally immediately jumped into the box
"First day, Greenie"-He started-"Rise and shine"
He took him and dragded him out of the box, then he threw him to the ground, among a bunch of people
Gabby immediately looked at him, and noticed the sheer terror that was shining in his eyes
She smiled amused at the idea of that look she had seen and seen all over again in all the people there
Everyone started saying what this guy could become, and with every sensible proposal, Gabby giggled
The new one wondered what was so funny about all this, but before he could actually ask that question, he jumped up on his feet, and started running
A roar among everyone was raised in the chorus
"Hey! We got a runner!"-Said one of the guys, always with a lot of fun in his voice
At that point Gabby brought her index finger and right thumb to her mouth, and in doing so she whistled
An arm leaned against her shoulder, and it was her brother's, who laughed at the scene
Everyone continued to watch the new arrived, until he did stamped on the grass and then rolled up to the ground
Another general roar
At that point he stood up, and looked around
"Either he's about to faint or he's just processing the shock, and as much as I'd like to see him faint, I deduce that the second option is the most possible"-She murmured
"You say so?"-Newt asked her
Soon after the blonde nodded to his friend, then went back to looking at her brother-"Go get him, Gal"
And her brother, without thinking about it for two second, did it.
