Rumors. Lots of rumors flying around, and Hope has no idea what's true and what's not. Rumors that WICKED is starting a second round of Maze Trials. Rumors that the WICKED elites ran away. Rumors of a possible cure. Rumors that there is a place away from this awful world.
Her big brother was taken during round one of the Trials. He was ripped from her parents arms. Her mama and daddy were gunned down in cold blood and she was left to fend for herself. She never knew what happened to her big brother. He's probably dead. Now it's just Hope.
WICKED came, storming the little camp she joined, she was thrown into a truck and taken to a WICKED facility. She has been transported from way station to way station, until one day their train was attacked, a full train car of kids was stolen.
Now she's alone. Stuck in WICKEDs compound until she's rescued or dies or thrown into a Maze. The small sliver of hope of a Safe Haven is fading fast.
