CARROW.
"once more, i truly do apologise," evan's voice was a low murmur, embarrassment colouring the highpoints of his cheekbones pink. "disturbing you and whatnot, with the party tomorrow."
"party?" you were taken aback. what party? were you not invited? no, that was merely wishful thinking. you undoubtedly were involved in this, somehow, and you certainly were far from thrilled. "mr. carrow has already arranged an outfit for you, we've been informed, so you do not need to dwell on it," evan reassured serenely, misconstruing the alarm on your face as something else.
"uh, outfit—?" you desperately ached to return to the bed. (not like that, good lord.)
internally wailing and with no one to brood alongside about this development, you acquiesced to the predetermined schedule tomorrow. if there was to be a party, why wouldn't you go?
