Chole listens to the news and hears that someone survived a spacecraft crash into the ocean.  She exited the volt, grabbed her purse, stepped outside, locked the door, and headed to the hospital. She got there thirty minutes later.

"Hey, I hear a redhead was brought in today." She said. "Yes, but there were two redheads brought in Miss. One was a redheaded lady with a cut on her left arm and a stab wound to the chest. The other was a redheaded boy who was unconscious at the time. An old man and his dog found him. The man insists his dog rescued him." The nurse at the check-in desk said.

"I am here to see Nathaniel Kurtzberg, the one rescued by the dog," Chole stated.

"Ah, yes, he is in room 432, you may enter, but I am unsure if he has regained consciousness yet."

Chole stepped into the elevator and selected floor 4.  The elevator dinged as it stooped on floor 4, and the doors opened. That was fast she thought as she exited the elevator and made her way, to room 432. She entered it without knocking. She smiled when she saw Nathaniel looking around him.  It appeared to be that he was dismayed about where he was.

"Hi, Nathaniel!" Chole exclaimed. She walked over to him and gave him a hug. Nathaniel was surprised but hugged her. "You came?" It was more of a statement than a question. "Yes, I came. I was happy to hear you survived the crash." Chole said.

"Crash, was anyone hurt?" Nathaniel asked. "Not that I am aware of, the news said you survived and it was unclear when it came to the details as to how you got back to the shore. She crash-landed in the sea," Chole explained.  "What do you think happened?" He wanted to know. "The old man who claims his dog saved you must be telling the truth. What would he have to gain by telling a lie?" Chole replied.

Nathaniel smiled. "If you trust him, then so do I."

There was a knock at the door, "Please, do come in," Nathaniel said.

"Hi, there, Rover and I brought you in earlier. We had to tend to a few things, but we are back now. It is good to see you are no worse for wear. Your arm looked a bit bruised and burnt earlier. The nurses already took care of it where you were asleep," The old  man rambles on.

"I see, then you are the man whose dog rescued me." Nathaniel stated. "Thanks so much, " He added.

Rover walked over to him and licked his hand. "Hi, Rover, It is nice to meet your acquaintance."  He said.  The dog barked twice, then laid down on the floor.

"I think the dog has taken to you." The old man said. "I better leave you to it," The old man stated.  Rover perked up his ears and stood up following the man out of the room.

Chole smiled. "See, that proves it," She said. "That it does," Nathaniel said.

"I was going to tell you something the next time I saw you," Nathaniel stated.  "Oh, what was it?" Chole asked.  "You are beautiful," Nathaniel said. "Me, no, I am just a spoilt brat," Chole said.

"Maybe you were in the past, but you are not anymore," Nathaniel remarked.

"I suppose if you say so," Chole said. She seemed quite unsure of herself. Nathaniel reached out and grabbed her hand.  "Look, You are beautiful whether you believe it or not. Another thing, Chole, I should have told you years ago, or at least before I joined the space program, dash it all, I love you,"  Nathaniel replied.

Chole stood there stunned. She did not expect him to love her. Her, the girl who was a prude in high school, the one who humiliated him in front of the whole class when she saw his drawings of Marinette and himself as a superhero.  The one who was downright cruel to him, and he can say after all this that he loves her.

"Chole, say something," Nathaniel said. He saw the look of uncertainty in her eyes. She looked shocked as if she could not fully process what he had told her.  Nathaniel squeezed her hand and sat up more.

He held her other hand and kissed it. "Chole?"

Chole saw him looking at her with longing in his eyes. She kissed his cheek. "Nathaniel, I wanted to tell you so bad. I never thought it would be possible. I have loved you for ages. I was jealous of  Marinette in high school because of your crush on her. Then, later, I thought that I lost you once, or maybe even twice. I love you too," She confessed. She blushed as he leaned in and kissed her.

His kiss was better than any she had ever experienced in her life. The first kiss Kim had given her after Max dared him to. She hardly thought that counts for much. She never kissed Kim back.  With Nathaniel, it was different somehow. She wanted him to kiss her. She longed for it so bad and now that it was happening she felt it was too good to be true.

Chole slowly wrapped her arms around his neck. She did not care what anyone thought any more that was the old Chole. The new Chole wanted to proclaim that she loved Nathaniel Kurtzberg. She kissed him back before he could pull away. She heard him gasp as if he could not believe it either.

Nathaniel kept kissing her. He did not notice when a nurse came in to check his vitals. The two were still embraced when the nurse finished checking in on him. She smiled. Awe, so cute. She shipped it.

Chole pulled away. "W-whoa," She stuttered. "Yeah, you are pretty amazing. The kiss was wonderful, darling," Nathaniel said. "Darling?" She repeated sounding shocked. "yes, Chole, it is okay, I intend to make you my girlfriend, and then will see where life takes us." He said. Chole smiled. "Yes, I will be glad to be your girlfriend, sweetheart," She said. Nathaniel smirked. He liked the sound of that word on her lips.
