Gabriella listened to Lexie ramble about her terrifying stay at la Casa di Alex, which was actually Meredith's late mother's humble adobe. The girls were watching Aubriana's early morning choir performance at before-school care that she had been practising for weeks.
"So Alex lives with the death squad?" Gabriella sniggered as she sipped her coffee, watching Lexie's mouth pause in its incessant rambling as she processed the words.
"Death squad?" she asked.
"No, too morbid. Besides George hasn't cut an LVAD or died," Gabriella looked towards the performance in thought, smiling as her sister did her solo on stage.
"The hot mess house?" Lexi offered, though she cringed as it left her mouth and Gabriella stifled her chuckle at the Grey girl's face of regret.
"Nah, they'll let the hot part feed their egos a little too much," the Castellanos girl replied, clapping as the performance on stage ended and Maximilan entered for his music act, playing the drums that Gabby had taught him.
"You taught him how to play the drums?" Lexie laughed in disbelief as Gabs nodded, "How? Med school was hard enough without a side gig."
"I'm just that good," Gabriella teased before her head snapped towards Lexie quickly, finger clicking as she pointed, "Kardashians!" she exclaimed, earning a glare from a few parents in front of them who were probably wondering what a couple of twenty-something-year-olds were doing at before-school care in scrubs, "Sorry," she mumbled, sinking in her seat.
Lexie bit her lip to hold back her laugh as she nodded, "I like that," she admitted, "Alex is a Kardashian."
"On today's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, we have the aftermath of a filthy affair and a new scandal," Gabby whispered to Lexie, "You're the scandal by the way."
The Grey girl burst into laughter as the adults all clapped after the band's performance, her eyes watering as she clutched Gabby's arm to keep from falling off the seat. The pair were stuck in their giggles, only chuckling harder every time they made eye contact as they thought of their superiors having big butts and lip filler.
"Shut up," Lexie stifled laughs as they waited by the hall doors to say goodbye to the two kids.
"You guys did so well!" Gabriella exclaimed as the two kids eagerly ran into her open arms with large smiles, "I didn't realise I missed out on the talent gene," she joked as the kids hugged Lexie too.
