Zenitsu pov

As I made sure Tanjiro was ok, Genya and Akaza San came in. Immediately Tanjiro unsheathed his katana and pointed it toward Akaza San.

"What's with you slayers trying to kill me, when I'm only trying to help?" Akaza San exclaimed grimly.

The confusion on Tanjiro's face was evident. I let out a sigh of exhaustion and explained every thing that happened. Even though he was skeptical about it here chose to trust my word.

And that's when his eyes caught sight of Genya. His expression was that of one filled with shock. He ran forward and quickly caught Genya in a tight hug, which was returned with an awkward pat on the back.

"I'm sure Shinazugawa San would be happy to see you" Tanjiro then informed him. Genya's face lit up at the mere mention of his brother.

"You think Aniki would be happy to see me?" He asked which seemed almost childish. But Tanjiro replied with a eager hum which I'm sure made Genya's happiness as high as the sky.

Then all five of us including Tamayo sama, who I hadn't noticed earlier, gathered together for a plan. Akaza San explained how he found out from the demon from earlier that this was not the actual infinity castle but a smaller replica of it. He also said that there were three other similar houses, two of them containing four of the other upper moons and the third one keeping Muzan.

The only way out was through the upper moon's room and since Akaza San's was already destroyed we would have to find Kaigaku's. Of course I was troubled by this but we had no choice.

So we decided to spilt up. Me and Tanjiro was put together.

Genya, Tamayo Sama and Akaza San left first. We first looked around the room for a bit more and moved to another after a bit.

The next room has many cracks on the wall with blood that looked almost purple from the angle that I was at. Tanjiro on the other hand seemed to be staring at the cracks.

"You ok, Kamado San?" I ask worried, after all he was still badly hurt.

"Yeah, the pattern just reminds me of him" He whispered. I wouldn't have heard it if it weren't for my great hearing abilities which seemed to be malfunctioning at the moment.

"Him?" I asked wanting to know who he was thinking about.

"Zenitsu, you mentor" He replied, eyes still struck on the cracks on the wall. Why was he so hung up on finding a crybaby like me. Sure, we were friends and he cared about me. I left because I didn't want to be hurt because of the feelings I had for him. I knew I wouldn't be able to take it if he starts dating someone so I ran away from my problems like always.

"You should give up on looking for him. He doesn't want to be found" He looked at me with confusion clear in his eyes.

"Why doesn't he want to be found?" Tanjiro asked again. I didn't want to answer, no I don't know what to answer. So I decided to tell him the truth, well partial truth.

"He had feelings for one of you guys, who I won't be mentioning. He felt that the person liked someone else. Unable to handle the feelings he had, he left, left like a coward that he is" I answered, even though it felt more like I was venting my frustrations to him. But he didn't have to know that.

"Who...who did he have feelings for?" He asked. His voice almost breaking.

"I can't tell you" after all I still I didn't want him to know.

"Why" He asked still oblivious as hell.

"Because I can't" I retorted

"Please" He begged.

"Why do you want to know anyway?" I asked lashing out on him. I was fed up with this conversation and just wanted to leave.

"Because I love him, okay. I've loved him ever since we fought together at entertainment district, years ago" He almost shouted, leaving me stunned.

He said he loved me. He loved me romantically. Ever since entertainment district? That means that he has feelings for me longer that I had for him. Maybe I shouldn't have left? Thousands of questions ran through my head. Most of them made me rethink about a lot of choices I had made in the past.

"The one Zenitsu loved is you"

"What!?"
