I was sitting next to my dad in the gym, watching as he coached the team. Hadley went to hangout with Andrew again so it was just me this time.

The practice was coming to an end and my dad huddled up the girls.

The girls were sent off and Paige walked to sit next to me.

"You doing anything now?" Paige asked.

"Yeah, I have a test. I'm gonna fail." I groaned.

"I prayed for you in Old Testament." Paige said.

"God is so proud of you." I said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Can I walk you to your car?" Paige asked.

"Of course P." I said.

We both got up, saying bye to my dad. He pulled me into a side hug and wished me good luck on my test.

Paige grabbed a granola bar from her backpack as we walked towards the parking lot.

"We should do something this weekend." Paige said.

"Like what?" I asked.

"I don't know. Something with just us two." She shrugged.

"We should go mini golfing." I suggested.

"Yeah that sounds good." Paige said, throwing her granola bar wrapper onto the ground.

I gasped.

"You just littered." I said.

"Shut up bro." She laughed.

We got to my car and said our goodbyes.

I drove in silence to campus, stressing about my test. When I parked, Hadley was standing right where she told me she'd be.

I got out of the car and walked up to her, giving her a hug.

"You ready?" She asked.

"Fuck no." I said.

We started to walk to class.

"I found out something about Paige." I said.

"Uh oh, what?"

"She litters." I said, trying to hold in my laugh.

Hadley started laughing, pushing my side, causing me to knock into someone.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry." I said to the random girl I had just attacked.

I turned to Hadley, shoving her even harder than she shoved me.

"Carson!" She yelled.

We both just laughed as we approached our classroom door. But when we realized where we were, both of our smiles dropped.

"No thank you." I said, turning around and attempting to walk away before Hadley dragged me back to the door.

"We got this." Hadley whispered.

We both walked into the room, hoping that Paige's prayers would work.
