Fault

"A star for someone, the moon for someone special"

Thyme thought it was a bad idea to get together in the Paramaanantra mansion
His mother called in the morning saying that she might be home before midnight

But what could possibly go wrong?

It was Jamie's idea to play hide and seek inside the mansion

Everyone thought it was childish and that it wasn't a good idea but Jamie forced everyone to join in

Two rules were made
1: The seeker MUST wear a blindfold
2: You can hide anywhere but you CANNOT step outside the mansion

Three rounds later you were sneaking around the front door trying hard to not get caught
You tip toe towards the kitchen when your body suddenly collide with another
A scream escape your lips and the other person grabbed your hand for support pulling you down with them

Everyone gathered around the two body laying on the floor
"Im sorry I didn't mean to" Jamie whisper
And you blankly stare at her then the room erupt into laughter

"It won't be so funny when Miss Rosalin notice that her favourite vase is broken" Auntie Yu speak walking towards us

The front door of the mansion was open
The one and only Rosalin Paramaanantra walks in

The air suddenly become thick and cold

"Mother-" Thyme began
"Who did that?" Rosalin cut off her son and point towards the broken vase and her eyes swiftly shift to the two girls sitting on the floor nearby

"Hikari, nice to see you again. What a great surprise you have for me" She clasp her hands together and put a smile on her face

Hikari mentally write a goodbye letter and prepare herself for the worst

"It wasn't her fault" Kevin step in
Mj mentally slap himself
Thyme held back his girlfriend whi was about to step in too

"Well then I wonder who is responsible for it" Rosalin looks at the unknown girl

"We'll get it fix or get a new one for you" Ren suggest and immediately regretting opening his mouth when she turn to look at him

"Get a new one?" She laugh "It's custom made, a gift from a friend"

Kevin open his mouth again but was quickly silenced by the intimidating woman
"And that friend is dead"

The room grew silent
Jamie did not know how to react or what to say
She did not expect Thyme's mother to be this type of person

Hikari got up and bowed towards Rosalin and apologizing for the mess they made and the broken vase

Jamie stood in the corner not knowing what to do and just staring at her friend apologizing for something that's mainly her fault

"Okay well-" Rosalin start
"But it wasn't her fault, not entirely" Kavin added his eyes fixed on the girl standing in the corner

Rosalin chuckled and turn towards Jamie
"I don't want my son to be close with someone who cannot even owe up to their own mistakes. Now I would be glad if you give me some privacy to talk to my son"

Jamie eyes welled up with tears as she walk towards the front door
She felt so weak and ashamed of herself

The others walking behind her and Hikari being the last one to leave mutter out another small 'sorry' to her

The group decided take a walk around the park where they always hung out
Waiting for Thyme to reply to their messages and Jamie to stop crying

You let out a loud sigh and plop next to a tree
Leaning onto the tree you close your eyes and rest for a bit

You could feel the presence of a person standing near you and maybe even staring at you intensely

"Must be nice to just sit around when you're not the one getting humiliated"
You know the voice damn well
Your eyes shoot open and immediately locking eyes with the person standing next to you

"What do you mean?" You ask in a low voice
The others were just a few meters away from where you are

"You know what I mean Hikari" Ren scoffed at you
"No I don't" You speak annoyed by the attitude

"Jamie's new here and you know damn well that she does not know how to deal with Rosalin. I know that it's her fault and it is partly your fault too so why didn't you-"

"Wait hold up. You're saying that I should stand up for her and apologize for something that is clearly her fault?"

"Come on we all know that if it was you Roslin wouldn't dare to speak shit about you or do something against you so why didn't you just let it be"

"Are you fucking serious? I was apologizing, no one else did, just me. And i did not say a single word about Jamie or tell Rosalin that it was her fault so why are you getting mad at me!"

You're body temperature rise up and you can feel tour cheeks and ears getting hot

Standing up and grabbing your backpack from the bench nearby
You walk towards the exit of the park and stomp outside
Kavin quickly follow up

Ren let out a groan mess his hair up out of frustration

His eyes went towards the confused girl sitting a few meters away with Mj who was munching on popcorn

Ren jogged up to them, taking a seat next to Jamie
"I'm so sorry I ruined everything" Jamie spoke under her breath
"It's okay don't apologize, it's not your fault" Ren assure the girl next to him
Pulling her in for a hug
Welcoming her in his embrace

While she's crying
Holding onto her heart tight
