Madison POV
It's the next morning and Elena, Stefan, Elijah, and I are in the living room while Damon is still in his room. None of us have seen him since last night after he told us all to go to hell since we all agree on trusting Elijah while Damon doesn't trust Elijah at all.
" Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse." Elijah tells us.
Elena and I sit on the couch, Stefan sits in the chair, and Elijah is standing in front of us.
" Elena said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus?" Stefan asks Elijah.
" Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it... He'll be a true hybrid, like Madison." Elijah explains to us.
" Meaning he'll be able to make his own sireline of hybrids." I say.
Damon walks into the living room.
" Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie." Damon tells us.
" Damon..." Stefan warns.
I know Damon doesn't want Elijah's help, but we can't just expect Bonnie to kill herself just to kill Klaus. I won't allow Bonnie to die and I'm not particularly in agreement of killing Klaus.
" No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying." Elena says.
" I'll write her a great eulogy." Damon argues.
" It's not an option, Damon." Elena tells Damon.
Damon goes quiet knowing he lost.
" All right, how do we break this curse?" Stefan asks Elijah.
Elijah stands up to get off of the couch arm that he was sitting on.
" Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know." Elijah tells us.
" The moonstone." Stefan says.
" A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each." Elijah says.
" And where do I fit into it?" Elena asks.
" The final part of the ritual..." Elijah tells Elena.
Elijah walks over to the bookshelf and takes a wooden box from the shelf.
" Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelganger... To the point of your death." Elijah finishes.
I feel Elena tense beside me and she takes Stefan's hand, Elena looks at the worried Stefan while Damon just looks at Elena with no emotion, but I know he's secretly worried. We're all scared and worried that Elena could die, but that's out of our hands.
" And that's where you come in." Elena says to Elijah.
Elijah opens the box and takes an antique jar from the box.
" This is an elixir that I acquired some five hundred years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation." Elijah explains to Elena.
" So I'll be dead?" Elena asks.
" And then you won't." Elijah answers.
" That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" Damon asks Elijah.
Elijah stays quiet as Damon looks at Elena.
" You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?" Damon asks Elena.
" Those rings only work on humans. The doppelganger's a supernatural occurrence. Odds are, the ring won't work." Elijah tells Damon.
" I'll take those odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work, Elena?" Damon asks her.
" Then I guess I'll just be dead." Elena says to Damon.
Damon is flabbergasted by Elena's answer and looks at Stefan for help, but Stefan stays quiet and shrugs.
" Damon, please just stop making this more difficult than it already is." I say to him.
Damon glares at me then gives Elijah a look before leaving and I sigh.
" Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs to do this? Does he have a werewolf?" Elena asks Elijah.
" Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for over a thousand years. If he doesn't already have a werewolf, my guess is by tonight, he will." Elijah tells Elena.
Outside
Stefan and I go outside where we find Damon drinking scotch.
" Breakfast of champions, huh?" Stefan asks.
" I'm surrounded by idiots. I need all the help I can get." Damon says.
" You're not helping at all, Damon." I tell Damon.
" Elijah is an original vampire, Stefan and Madison. One we tried to kill. You're going to believe this guy?" Damon asks us.
" No, he's an original vampire that you guys tried to kill. He's my uncle and he made a promise to Audrey to protect me, he knows that I'll do anything and everything to keep all of you safe. So unless he's stupid, he's not gonna do something that puts me against him." I say to Damon.
" What do you want me to do, Damon? Elena made her decision. She's choosing to trust Elijah. I'm going to put my faith in her." Stefan tells Damon.
" Why? She's going to end up dead." Damon tells us.
" Because she put her faith in me. She chose to trust me in spite of what I am. I'm going to bet on somebody's instincts, it's going to be hers." Stefan says to Damon.
" Well, then, that makes you the biggest idiot of them all." Damon says to Stefan.
" She chose to trust you, too." Stefan tells Damon.
" Then maybe you shouldn't be so sure about her instincts." Damon says.
Damon downs the rest of his drink and leaves going inside.
" How many times is he going to push us away just to protect us?" I ask Stefan.
" I wish I knew." Stefan says.
Stefan and I walk inside.
Inside
As soon as we come inside, we hear Jenna telling someone to get out then I hear Alaric's voice. We go to Jenna and see her holding a crossbow toward Alaric while Alaric has his hands up in surrender.
