Well, I don't know how long I've been walking but it's very nice to walk. I lost track of time a while ago, but I know I am almost at Aunt Goldie's, about ten minutes at most. I continued to walk, humming to my music watching Yoshu run through the puddles ahead of me, where she lived it was always quiet.

I love coming over here, it always gets me away from the loud cities, with the cars, people, and everything else. the weather was getting more intense, but luckily for me, there was no hail or strong winds just yet and no heavy rain. But it seemed that was going to change soon, the skies were getting darker.

I looked at the map on my phone, seeing I was getting closer to her house to the point I could see it from where I was walking. Sooner or later, I made it to her house, and I knocked on the door, it had started to downpour on the way here, so I was completely soaked, Yoshu on the other hand... he was muddy. Aunt Goldie had been waiting for me, so she had a towel prepared. I thanked her, as she glanced down at Yoshu.

"Who might this little guy be?" She murmured down at him, as I watched Yoshu run around, chuckling to myself. "His name is Yoshu, he was a gift from the forest," I explained. "He's an adorable little one, isn't he?" She said, laughing. I asked her if i could use the towel on him and she just told me "Go for it".

I tried to catch him and scoop him up in a towel and it took me and Aunt Goldie a good four times to do so, sure, he was small enough to fit in my hands, but he was so difficult to catch with him being so wiggly. I wrapped him up in the towel despite his efforts to escape.

We went inside as the storm began to pick up, Aunt Goldie gave me some extra clothing I left the last time I came here, I went to change into them while she offered to dry Yoshu. He was good at staying still while she dried him, occasionally rolling over for his prized belly rubs in the doing so. Aunt Goldie seemed to adore him, and I could tell.

I haven't heard from the others in a while now, they haven't texted in our groupchat either. Aunt Goldie and I were sitting on the couch, watching a movie, I was curled up in a blanket as Yoshu was curled up by my side, shockingly he wasn't asleep. Aunt Goldie was shuffling through papers while watching, I wanted to know what she was doing but she had told me it was a surprise.

After a little bit, I could hear the storm raging outside, it was getting worse. Aunt Goldie didn't want me to leave in the storm, the storms hitting have been random but the power in them have been bad. The weather has been all over the place apparently and Aunt Goldie told me the things about the storms, and they did seem bad. I was half asleep, laying the couch, staring at the TV as the movie played.

Goldie was in the kitchen making food, I gave off a small hum as I felt my phone buzz, I picked it up, looking towards it. The contact's name was "Hayes".  I picked up my phone, he sent me a hello and a smiley face. I smiled sleepily and texted back "hello" which I oddly couldn't spell...

I gave up after a few times of trying to spell it, before sending it, I knew my misspelling made him laugh by the way he texted back. I was trying to wake myself up, but I couldn't. I sent him a text warning him that I wouldn't be texting much, and he understood. I put my phone down, pulling the blanket over my head. I smelt the rain through the semi-opened window, and I heard it, it was calming.

"Hey, Lou, you doing okay in there? You're being oddly quiet." Goldie asked, I sat up a bit and looked over the couch into the kitchen. "I'm going to take a nap..." I hummed out. She looked at me while trying to understand what I had just said, before she gave a small chuckle and smiled. "Okay, go ahead, kiddo." She told me. I just flopped back down on the couch, laying on my back, staring at the ceiling. Yoshu jumped onto my stomach earning a groan from me, I looked down at him, he started to make biscuits. I gave a gentle laugh and let him, I shut my eyes, feeling the sleep take over.

It felt as my body fell into a pit of darkness as I exhaled falling into a deep sleep.
