When We Can Finally Let It Go

Is The Moment When Love

Once Again Has Hope."

The group scoured the cave a tenth time for clues. Anything that could help them decode the star map that Neal had left them. Unfortunately, they had come up almost completely empty. Currently, they were all staring at some tally marks on one of the walls, which Neal had been using to pass time.

"Look here," Emma pointed out, moving the bed a little out of the way. "Neal stopped counting." Angie peered closer. Sure enough, one of the tally mark sets was finished with two lines instead of five.

"Cause he got off the island?" Mary Margaret questioned as Angie touched the marks, beginning to count the total amount.

Angie shook her head. "He was here longer."

David raised an eyebrow. "Then why would he-"

"Because he lost hope," Emma interrupted.

Regina crossed her arms as she kicked her foot against the wall. "You got that from scribbles?"

"I got that because it's what I did. Every time I went to a new foster home. I counted days until counting seemed pointless."

"You think the same thing is happening to Henry?" Angie questioned Emma, looking up from the tally marks.

Emma nodded. "Pan said it would."

David placed a hand on Emma's shoulder. "Hey, we're gonna rescue him."
