After a very long while, there was a knock on the door which interrupted Vincents reading while enjoying some classical music that his record player was playing. The raven haired man closed his book and with a groan he got up of the couch, leaving the book on the triangle shaped glass table and went to turn off the music. Once he was done, he walked to the main entrance to unlock the door and swung it open, meeting the person who was behind the other side.

─ "Back so soon? I should have given you more things to buy.."

Vincent said as he hummed looking up and down at Rody with his usual cold tone, unamused to see him, making Rody frown and roll his eyes.

─ "It seemed like it might rain soon so I tried to be as quick as possible so your errands wouldn't get wet... You're welcome."

The brunet man said as he walked pass Vincent, making the chef frown while his gaze followed Rodys movements while shutting the door, slightly annoyed at the sudden trust thinking he can walk into his house without even letting him come in. But even so, Vincent didn't comment anything about it.

Although Rody had been in Vincents place twice, he was always amazed at how everything looked... It was so fancy and the smell of cigarette fitted the aesthetic of it, making it a unique place. However it wasn't Rodys style and himself thought Vincent had a poor taste of fashion.

When he walked into the kitchen , Rody left the bag with all the food Vincent had listed and walked back into the living room where the raven haired man was laying on the couch looking at nowhere, he seemed exhausted and obviously ill.
Rody developed fear for him ever since he saw his true colours with that poor cook who made a little mistake... But looking at him there made his boss seem... Defenceless and vulnerable.

─ "..what are you looking at."

Rody snapped out of his trance, he didn't realize he had been staring at Vincent this whole time and that he noticed.

─ "gah.. sorry- sorry-"
He said quickly while rubbing the back of his neck, he cleared his throat and sat on the armrest of the couch trying to pretend that didn't happen.

Vincent was at first frowning, but his gaze slowly soften he looked at Rodys movements and brought his legs up to leave some Rody space to sit on the couch.

─ "Did you bring me my medicine?"

Vincent asked as he sniffed slightly, looking at Rody who looked back slightly confused until seconds later he let out a sound of realisation and quickly gave him the medicine; a small jar with liquid in it for the cold.

The younger man sat properly and grabbed it, thanking his waiter. Once he took the medicine, he placed it on the table.

They both remained in silence as the time went by, Rody slowly sat down on the couch next to Vincent just in case Vincent would get pissed at him for wanting to sit down next to him but lucky for him, he didn't.

Then, Rody turned to Vincent and finally began to speak.

─ "Vince"
─ "What is it?"
Vincent said in a harsh tone as he closed his eyes, mentally getting ready to hear any stupidity that's gonna come out of Rodys mouth.

─ "Since you wanted to hear me play the guitar, could you help me review a song I made for Manon? That way I could show you my cool skills!"
He said proudly as he lifted his chin slightly.

Vincent turned to him slightly surprised at that, he totally forgot about the little challenge they made.
He picked up the guitar case that was right next to him and gave it to Rody.

─ "Impress me."

He said smirking, before crossing his arms and leaning over slightly. Rody took the guitar case softly as he opened the case, pulling out the instrument as he played each strings slightly to make sure it was tuned. Once he made sure it was, Rody took out from the case's pocket a wrinkled paper and placed it in front of him.
