A mix of two requests on AO3:
Jack x Dazzle with comfort and fluff

(Dazzle's pronouns switch in this chapter, between she/he/they.)

(Zucchini = Queerplatonic partner)

Jack was searching for Dazzle, having heard from Sun that she had a rough day. He was always very sensitive, Jack knew this better than anyone. They were his zucchini after all!

He searched inside the theater, looking around for his deer zucchini. He then heard a quiet sniffle behind the curtain, he pushed past it. He spotted Dazzle in the corner of backstage, her knees pulled up to her chest as she sat there. Jack approached.

"What's wrong?" He asked, Dazzle flinched and looked up. The tears fell down their cheeks as he sniffled.

"A woman yelled at me..." Dazzle whimpered, their ears were lowered and mouth in a sorrowful frown.

"What about?" Jack asked, sitting down next to their zucchini.

"About my pronouns... she kept calling me an 'it'." Dazzle sniffled, "Just because Sun and Moon kept switching my pronouns like I wanted..."

Jack winced, wrapping an arm around him. Dazzle leaned into it, nuzzling into Jack's shoulder and being careful with their antlers.

Jack suddenly had a thought that made him awkwardly fidget.

He kind of wanted to give Dazzle a kiss on the cheek.

Dazzle noticed the fidgeting and tilted her head, "What is it?" They asked. Jack slightly blushed,

"I um.. can I kiss you on the cheek?" Jack asked cautiously.

Dazzle's eyes widened and Jack tensed up, ready to face any backlash from this.

"I... sure... you can.." Dazzle said, nodding slightly. He turned her face a little to give better access to their cheek. Jack gave a quick peck and then snuggled into Dazzle, burying his face into her chest. She gave a quiet giggle and then hugged Jack, keeping the embarrassed animatronic close to them.

They ended up falling asleep cuddling.
