It was after gym when all the girls went to the locker room to wash up and change into fresh clothes. Miss Collins had asked you to stay behind to talk to you about an upcoming sports meeting which she wanted you to attend.

Afterwards you began to walk back to the locker room and head for a shower. You quickly got to work, washing when you heard the sound of yelling and laughing.

With you being nosy, you turned the water off and peeked your head out, but what you saw made you frown.

It was Carrie.

She was crying, dragging her hands on other girls, begging for help. You quickly grabbed a towel, and wrapped it around your body before walking towards Chris.

"Hey what's going on?" You asked her. She laughed loudly, throwing her head back. "Carrie got her period! She's crying like a little girl, begging for help!" All the girls laughed at Chris's words, but you weren't.

You slapped her arm, making her look at you. "That's really rude, stop making fun of her. Her Mom probably didn't tell her."

Chris looked offended at you. "Hey, don't hit me! Why are you defending her anyways? Are you friends with that freak or something?" She asked, standing there with her arms crossed over her chest.

All the girls stopped laughing, watching the small altercation between you two. You've been friends with Chris for as long as you can remember, having grown up in the same neighborhood since Kindergarten.

You've known about her bullying ways, but this was just cruel.

You wouldn't ever tell anyone, but Chris was just as bad as Carrie when she got her period. It happened when you were having a sleepover at her house when she took a shower.

A couple of minutes later she was screaming, making you rush to the bathroom. "Chris, what's going on, are you okay?!" You frantically yelled. "Get my Mom! I need Mom!" She demanded.

You got her Mom and that's when she explained everything. Chris was crying, fearful that she was dying when she saw the red mixed with the water.

So if she was just as scared as Carrie, why was she acting like this?

You let out a huff, going to your locker and grabbing your bag before pushing past her. As you turned the corner you could hear a scoff coming from Chris.

Your friendship might end today, but you could really care less.

You searched for Carrie, but it didn't come up as a surprise when you found her in the bathroom. The sound of her sobs filled your ears as you walked closer and closer towards the last stall.

You gave 2 short knocks before calling out her name. "Carrie? You in there? Open up, please, I got some stuff for you." Carrie stopped crying, holding her breath as she realized the voice.

To be honest, she's scared of you, seeing you were friends with Chris and thought you would bully her the same way.

Hesitantly, she opened the door, allowing you to see herself. The white towel was now red just like her eyes from crying. "I got you some things that'll help with your period. I got tampons and pads. I also have an new pair of panties, so if you need it you can have them. Hopefully they fit you."

Carrie stood there frozen, her wide eyes looking up at you. You awkwardly smiled at her expression. "You can just take the bag. Do you want me to go back and get your clothes?" Carrie slowly nodded her head, watching as you left the bathroom.

When she closed the stall door and locked it, she let out a sigh of relief. You weren't mean, you were helping her. You were so sweet to her, and even gave her your clothes.

She dug through the bag and discovered many things that would help her. Midol, a small heating pad, a little bottle of water, tampons, pads, and even a fresh pair of clothes. It all smelled like you too.

Her thoughts were broken when the door was knocked on again like earlier. She opened it and saw you standing there with her bag. "Here you go." You smiled, handing it to her.

"I'll let you get changed, but if you need anyone or anything, you can come to me. I promise." You smiled once more and turned around.

That's when Carrie knew she loved you.
