^mingi^

mingi shouldn't have been mad with yunho, but he couldn't help but feel frustrated that yunho didn't even consider his feelings after the party.

it had been a whole week since they talked.

the longest they ever went without talking was three days back in middle school and surprisingly but unsurprisingly it was because of a girl.

the first few days after the party yunho wouldn't even talk to mingi, let alone look at him. so, mingi skipped school to stay at hongjoongs since he was the only one who had his own place out of the group, he was in college.

other days he'd just pretend to go out for school, then come back home once his dad left though it wouldn't really make a difference since his parents didn't care for him as it was.

mingi reached over and shut his phone off, the texts and phone calls made his head hurt.

then, the bedroom door swung open.

"mingi why haven't you been answering your phone??" wooyoung barged in.

"my phone is turned off." mingi hummed, rolling up a blunt.

"geez man, what's going on?" wooyoung sat on the bed. he took the tray away from mingi and instead put a container of food in front of him. it was a very generous amount of orange chicken with fried rice, veggies, kimchi in a small container, and tteotbokki soup in another container.

"we're sharing that just so you know." wooyoung got up and turned the tv on.

"whaddaya wanna watch?" he hummed.

mingi munched on the orange chicken and shrugged.

"mmmh okay then, let's watch this." wooyoung put on a random baking competition between british people.

it was quiet as they ate, but a comfortable type of quiet.

to be honest, mingi wasn't really close with the whole group. they had all just, kind of found each other and yunho introduced mingi to everyone.

was mingi burdening the group? he did smoke and snort, which he knew was bad but it was his only stress reliever.

wooyoung and seonghwa talked to mingi though, it felt more natural around them too aside from everyone else who he wasn't as close to.

"mingi, you're in your head. what's up?" wooyoung hummed, a mouthful of food.

mingi let out a sigh.

"i'm mad at yunho." he said after a moment.

wooyoung nodded slowly, "okay, why are you mad at him?"

mingi picked with the rice, "at the party yunho and giselle got into it about me. giselles mad that yunho spends too much time with me. i mean, i guess it's true and i understand where she's coming from. but still, she asked him to choose between her and me. he didn't say anything, then i let him choose her because i felt like that was the right thing to do. but now we're not talking. i don't know what i did."

wooyoung nodded.

"and, sometimes i feel like me having these feelings for him was a mistake."

wooyoung shook his head and grabbed mingis arm.

"no, don't ever think that liking him was a mistake. yunho should've taken your feelings into account when he made his choice as well as his own. i think it was kinda a bitchy move of him to do that even when you two have been friends since elementary school."

"maybe im just being too clingy..? i think im just gonna distance myself for a while." mingi sighed.

"mingi, i won't stop you but maybe it's best if you tell yunho about your feelings. obviously not now but when you feel ready to." wooyoung hummed.

mingi nodded, and they continued eating and watching the show.

he would tell yunho one way or another.
