Y/n's POV:

I woke this morning with the same feeling as everday I dreamt about them.

Victoria... Dad...

I shake it off and got up, still a bit drowsy, as I put on the fluffy and warm plum colored nightgown. I walk to the gigantic wardrobe my room has to gently open it onto what felt like hundreds of different outfits, all from dark shades of red, black, purple or blue. They are way too generous with who they consider their compeirs in this little town...

Oh, anyways, purple it'll be. I have to work at the Emporium to help Rosie, so she can go to her Overlords meeting. It usually never happen at that time of year, I'd love to know why is it.

To be honest, working there is always fun. They are all so kind and love when I'm behind the counter. Like if Rosie never really left for them.

I quickly put it on as I left the house in a hurricane, waving back at every cannibal that saw me arrive to the Emporium. I swung the door open as Rosie was about to leave, beautiful like she always is.

—Y/n, dear, you're just in time, she declared. This meeting shouldn't take much time, feel free to bring home some merchandise home if you'd like.

—Everything will be fine Rosie. Take your leave before being late, I exclamed back.

She left as I got behing the counter and started to serve every sinner already coming in. Everything went great and each left with a smile and an already started to eat piece of delectable meat. It continued for at least a few hours before the wave ended. But before I could take a breath, a small groups of children entered the store, all so excited, and approached the counter impatiently.

-Miss Y/n, come outside sing and dance with us!

—Yes! Please, please!

—It's been so long since you sang for us!

I felt so terrible to refuse their offer, worse when they insisted. After they begged more, I finally accepted.

—Why not, kids. Let's go outside take some fresh- or maybe just take some air.

They ran faster than the wind to the central place as I followed them and their small legs. Laughing and giggling, they were all encircling me to see what I'll sing. I thought a short time about it as I started.

Smile though your heart is aching,

Smile even though it's breaking,

When there are clouds in the sky,

You'll get by,

If you smile through your fear and sorrow

Smile and maybe tomorrow

You'll find that life is still worth while

If you just,

Light up your face with gladness

Hide every trace of sadness

Although a tear may be ever so near

That's the time you must keep on trying

Smile what the use in crying

You'll find that life is still worth while

If you just smile

All the children's dancing and following the sound of my voice started to attract the attention of the adults, who also looked to love it as much as the smaller ones. They made me their family, and they are mine now. I wouldn't change that for anything in all the rings of Hell.

Alastor's POV:

As I walked into the streets of Hell, following the darling next to me called Rosie to Cannibal Town, a little place in the Pride Ring she controls, while all of a sudden, a what I have to admit as a wonderful singing was heard and took the attention of dozens of cannibals.

Though your heart is aching

Smile even though it's breaking

When there are clouds in the sky

You'll get by,

If you smile through your fear and sorrow

Smile and maybe tomorrow

You'll find that life is still worth while

If you just smile

—Oh, must be Y/n who accepted to sing for the kids.

I couldn't even see this Y/n she talked about as I went inside what could be remembered as a very clean butcher's shop with all those chopped body parts' boxes. I followed her near the register counter as we chatted for a while as the door open again.

—Ah, Y/n dear, it's great to hear you sing again, she exclamed, looking at the new sinner in the room. Come here so I can present you Alastor!

As I looked behind me, I only saw a shorter sinner with a long plum colored outfit, large black wings that almost touched the floor and the same black color on a bird-like tail. A raven demon, as I conclude with their appearance.

—Y/n, this is Alastor, the Radio Demon and new Overlord of Hell. Alastor, meet Y/n, a great friend and parent figure for all our cannibals living here.

I stepped quickly at their direction before taking their hand and kiss it, directly where their delicate knuckles were.

—Pleasure to meet you, my dear. Quite a pleasure.
