Rydel's P.O.V:
I couldn't believe my eyes! Ross and Kate were about to kiss! Then mom called for the cake and they were interrupted. Ah well, they know they like each other now! My mom made my cake and it was beautiful. Soft bread thing, smooth fresh cream and chocolate sprinkles. It was decorated with little pink flowers made from sugar. In icing she wrote, 'Happy birthday, princess!' I hugged my mom tight before sliding the knife in and cutting a slice for everyone. I looked over and saw Ross and Kate close together. What would their ship name be? Koss? Rate?
Riker's P.O.V:
Ross and Kate seemed real close. I must ask him about that later. But for now I spy Ellington trying to sneak a little kiss onto Rydel's cheek. I could've let them be...but nah. "Yo, Ratliff! How are ya, man?" He quickly backed off, and Rydel gave me the death look...oops! "I'm great! Stormie really out-did herself with this cake!" He answered, stuffing cake in his mouth as he spoke. I was expecting to see a warning glare from Rydel, but she was too busy watching Ross and Kate. Something's going on with them. I need to find out what.
