"𝐎𝐡 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠"

Rowyns mother says with a sarcastically happy voice. The house was small two bedrooms and one bath.

Rowyn already knew she'd either spend all her time locked away in her room not daring to leave, or out in the town not wanting to come home.

Rowyn had overheard her parents arguing, finding out the reason of this fast move. Her parents owed money to some bad people.

I guess there gabbling addiction got outta hand after all.

Rowyns mother, and father got out of the car slamming both sides of the car doors shut. Leaving rowyn alone.

Rowyn let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. I guess sharing a car with two very abusive parents does that too.

She had open the backseat door standing in the driveway of their new home. This home was better than their last. It was infested with cockroaches and rats.

She shut the car door as quiet as she could scared her parents would yell at her for slamming doors again.

She walked to the front door that was wide open hearing her parents arguing, back and forth over stupid shit.

She looks to the right and see what looks to be a living room with carpet, a closet besides the door. There was a hallway that she walked into. The stairs were to the right and the kitchen at the end.

She huffs before walking up the stairs tipping toeing trying to be as quiet as possible.

She saw her parents standing in a bedroom she guessed was there's.

She walked to the other one that was at the end of the small hallway.

The room was a decent size. She decided she could make it work. Her parents walked into her new room shoving her to the side causing her to put her head down praying they don't say anything to her.

"This is your room" her mother's raspy voice spoke. "Thank you" she mumbled under her breath scared to speak to loudly or even say the wrong thing.

"Now go out to the car, and carry some stuff in" her mother states giving her a disgusted look. Rowyn nodded before doing exactly what her mother had told her to do.

Rowyn huffed as she picked up the second to last box in the car. Her forehead coated with sweat.

"Hey, need some help?" A unfamiliar voice spoke running over to her. The guy had dark brown hair and pretty face. "It's okay" Rowyn spoke out of breath.

"No, let me help you I insist." The guy spoke once again tugging at the box she had in her hands, she had a bad feeling about him helping but she was so tired she had no other choice then to say yes.

"I'm guessing you're new to Tulsa" he spoke with a grin. Rowyn nodded pushing her brown curls behind her ear.

"Names Sodapop Curtis" sodapop attempts to stretch his arm out for her to shake.

"Nice to meet you sodapop, I like your name it's unique" she grins before picking up the last box out of the car.

"My names Rowyn Evans" she adds onto her sentence. "Well thank ya Rowyn you got a nice name too"

They entire the house and place the boxes down in the living room. "Do you need help with anything else" he shakes his hands together looking at Rowyn

"I'm alright thanks" she mumbles putting her hands behind her back.

"Alright, I work at DX if you ever need anything, like directions or suggestions come find me" he says before walking outta the house.

Rowyns first day in this unfamiliar town. And she already sorta gotta friend, and a cute friend at that.

All of a sudden her parents foot's steps storm down the stairs causing Rowyns face to drain of color knowing what's coming.

"Who was that!?" He father shouts looking at her with rage in his eyes. "I'm not sure he stopped by asking for help" she states hoping he drops it.

"Why didn't you tell him no" he father walks closer to her "he grabbed the box outta my hand daddy" Rowyn can feel tears well in her eyes scared of what her father might do.

"I don't care what he did!" He shouts. "I'm sorry daddy it won't happen ever again." She speaks with a low tone in her voice looking down at the ground.

"Look at me as I talk to you!" He shouts once again causing Rowyns head to shoot up looking at him,

"Don't ever. Take. Help. From someone again understand me!?" He questions now shouting in her face. Rowyn quickly nods.

"Good now unbox all this shit" he states walking outta the house. Her mother following behind purposely bumping into her.
