Once Haruna left, Jaehyun and Woonhak were left alone, once again. The latter took the girl's seat and they interlocked pinky fingers. But the subtle finger holding quickly turned into a warm embrace. It was obviously Jaehyun who started the hug. He was extremely clingy with the people he loved, mostly in a platonic way. And obviously, he loved Woonhak very much. So hugs were very normal.
They didn't care if anyone saw them like that. Rumours of the two being together always spread due to their closeness. But obviously, they weren't dating. Just two very close best friends.
Their constant clinging to each other just made those rumours even more believable. They didn't care at all, since they both knew that it wasn't true.
Jaehyun rested his head on Woonhak's shoulder, but the sudden weight change made the taller boy lose his balance, making them both fall to the group. The older of the two was on top of him. They looked at each other, they quickly stole some glances at the other's lips.
They then realised that they were in public, and despite knowing how un-romantic this moment was. Most people would believe it to have romantic implications. Jaehyun was pushed up rather quickly off of Woonhak. He got ever so slightly injured by the movement, but didn't really care.
While standing up, they slightly bumped into each other. Once they were standing up straight and far apart — well their far, wasn't very far, they were completely flustered. At a complete loss for words to talk about their current situation.
They decided to just leave the library while holding on to each other's wrists. They ignored the stares of their school mate. They knew rumours would spread even more, especially due to their blushing faces. The blushing faces that were unknown to the other. Heck, even unknown to themselves.
"Where are we going?" Woonhak asked, blindly following his best friend. But he didn't need any answer once they stopped at a metallic door. He realised that they would be going up to the roof. A place they often went to when they just wanted to escape the world.
Where they could be all alone with their thoughts and feelings. Were they could be fully carefree. They would talk about anything, and be themselves. It was something that they only had between them. Nobody else. Not even Riwoo.
They were completely alone, as always. Jaehyun guided Woonhak towards a rather big rectangular shaped stone. He made the younger boy sit down before he could.
If they wanted, in this current moment, they could continue with their totally platonic moment that was happening just minutes earlier. They were truly the only ones that went up to the roof.
Ever since the first day they went on the roof, they had one rule. Whatever happens on the roofs whatever is said up there, stays there.
The peck on the cheek that Jaehyun gave him on his birthday was never talked about. They most of the time pretended like it never happened.
It was just something platonic anyway. None of them had any romantic feelings for each other. They could never. Plus, it would mean that their friendship would have to change. And that was something they never ever wanted. They were perfectly happy with the way things were going.
