Youngbin's POV
Classes are finally through for the day and I'm walking with my wonderful Jeonghan.
I feel many watchful faces and some whispers. I can't really make out what they're saying but I do remember hearing something along the lines of 'Seungcheol and Jeonghan;' how sickening.
But I do know Jeonghan is better than that.
Actually what is his relationship to Seungcheol? We need to have a talk.
We sit down on a bench speckled with cherry blossom petals. As we sit he meets my gaze with a gentle and innocent look, sparking immediate guilt in my gut.
I take in the fresh air and slowly breathe out before meeting his eyes once more.
He leans into me to kiss me on the cheek before asking, "How was class, love?"
"It was alright." I respond.
He then pouts, "We didn't get to see each other as much, though."
"Yeah, you're right. Don't worry, our 100 day anniversary will be amazing, I'll spoil you so much." I wink at him with a charming smile.
"I'm looking forward to it. Were you spending time with your friends?" He asks.
"Yeah, I was. One of them was already assigned a project so I thought I should help."
"I see." He smiles.
"Anyways, what about you, Han? I've been hearing things about you and Seungcheol already and it's only the first day of the semester."
"Oh yeah. Seungcheol is my best friend from high school. We've been separated ever since our final year in high school but now we've reunited!" He beams while softly clapping his hands.
He's so cute... but I can't help but grit my teeth. "He was only your best friend? How come I'm hearing people talk about you guys as a couple? What have you been doing, huh?" A bit frustration seeps into my voice.
He slightly tilts his head at me as if confused, "Oh? Don't tell me you actually care about all that yammering. You know we're together. Why would I ever do that to my best friend or you?"
I hate the way he said 'best friend' first but I don't see it. I trust him. "Yeah, you're right. Why would I listen to all the rumours? You'd never do that to me." I snicker.
I hold his hand tightly before kissing him on his soft lips.
"Binnie, tell me your relationship to Seungcheol. You seem to twitch every time you hear his name." Shit, he's already noticed?
"Well, did you hear about me from him?" He softly nods in response.
"I'm glad you at least want both sides of the story. Seungcheol is a guy I've known since my childhood due to our families being mutual. They thought that we'd be best friends but that couldn't be farther from the truth."
"Truth is we don't get along. We've never really met eye to eye with anything we do. Call it a clash of personalities. I find him very annoying."
"Why?" He softly asks.
"He always tried to police me. Telling me what's right and what's wrong like he's my father. I do what I want and he can't understand that. We've always gone to the same school until high school, where we were separated but our families still met up. We always argued with each other. I just find him to be a headache."
I notice Jeonghan giggling at my tangent making me feel a bit warm in my chest, causing me to release a smile.
"Damn. I wonder how you two get along since you're best friends." I chuckle.
