Chapter 20: Competition?

"Here is the question paper," says Ishaan, handing the question paper to Savi. Savi takes it & starts answering it. Ishaan says, "You have 1 hour to finish."

"Yes, sir," replies Savi. She concentrates on the exam. Ishaan sits on a chair opposite to Savi.

After a while, Savi says, "Hogaya."

"Itna jaldi," says Ishaan. "You have 30 more minutes. Was the question too easy?"

"Yep."

"Next time, I will make a harder one. Now let me check it."

Ishaan checks the answer paper. He says, "Wow! You got full marks. Congrats."

"So, I won the challenge, sir."

"Yeah, you did really well. But don't be too confident about it."

"Okay, sir."

"But you deserve a reward."

"Kaise reward?"

"Let's go out for ice cream now."

"Saach mai," says Savi with excitement like a 5-year-old kid. Ishaan smiles, seeing her reaction. They go out to a nearby ice cream shop. Savi excitedly orders two scoops of chocolate & vanilla. But Ishaan stops her, saying, "Bilkul bhi nahi. You will catch a cold. Just one scoop."

"Bilkul bhi nahi. Waiter bhai sahab aap mere order final kigiye."

"Suniye bhaiji, aap iski baat nahi sunenge. Savi, you will catch a cold. Just one scoop."

"Naahi! Mujhe chocolate vanilla dono he khana hai," says Savi like a complaining kid. The waiter who is enjoying the show says, "Madam, I think aapko sir ki baat maan na chaiye. Mausam accha nahi hai."

Ishaan smirks at Savi, hearing the waiter's comment while Savi pouts like a 5-year-old kid. But a teenage girl from aside says, "Naahi, Di. I think you're right. Ice cream khana ke liye daar na kya hai? Two scopes of ice cream se kuch nahi hoga."

"Bilkul thik," says Savi with confidence. Ishaan says, "Don't argue with me, Savi. My decision is final."

"Humesha aapka decision kyu final hoga? Mujhe two scoops khana hai."

"Sir, mai aapka team mai hu," says the waiter supporting Ishaan. Meanwhile, the teenage girl says, "Di, mai aapka team mai hu. You have to win the argument."

Savi says in favour of her, "Two scoops of ice cream se kya hoga? Mai kya maar jaoga?"

"Bilkul chup," says Ishaan furiously. "Acche baat karna nahi aata hai tumhe? Only one scoop."

"Two scoops."

"One."

"Let's go, sir. You can do it," cheers the waiter for Ishaan. The girl also says, "No, Di. You will win."

"Wait. Are you guys enjoying our argument?" asks Savi looking at the two. Ishaan also realizes it. He says, "Ha. Is it an India-Pakistan cricket match? That we are fighting & you guys are cheering for us."
