Have you ever felt worthless?

Felt used until you were tossed away?

Someone's plaything?

Damaged goods?

Shattered beyond repair?

Welcomed with open arms only to be whisked away without a trace, but not a single one of those souls that you referred to as your friends came searching for you?

There was no worse feeling than betrayal.

I just never thought I would see the day.

"Was this really a good idea?" Jogo muttered as he eyeballed the girl nestled in a lounge chair off to the side of the cafe they were currently occupying. Ghetto simply grinned as per usual and held up a single finger, "Patience, Jogo. I have conditioned her to be the perfect weapon against Jujutsu High. As a test, she will be accompanying Hanami to see just how well their defenses are." He explained and gestured to the idle nature curse that had their arms crossed and added no other response.

Jogo still seemed uneasy and lowered his voice so that only Mahito, Hanami, and Geto could hear before addressing his most pressing concern: "What if she betrays us?"

There was no immediate response to his question, but by the expressions on his comrades' faces, they didn't seem to care all that much.

"Isn't that what Hanami's for?" Mahito scowled and subsequently got up from the table to approach the girl in question completely unprovoked.

She didn't spare him a glance and continued fiddling around with what appeared to be some worn out gaming device.

"Oi! L/n! You're goin' on a mission with Hanami. Don't you dare think about double crossin' us!" He grabbed a fistful of her loose hair and tugged upwards to make sure he had her undivided attention. She gave him a cold side eye and opened her mouth to speak, but decided against it and shoved his hand away. She was successful and getting him off, but he wasn't putting up much of a fight.

"There. Problem solved." Mahito scoffed and leaned against a nearby wall. Geto chuckled and clasped his hands together before gesturing towards Hanami, "Well then, we wish you the best of luck Hanami," He grinned and looked over at the girl that had resumed her gaming session, "And please take care of our darling Y/n."

"After all, she's a limited edition curse user."

"Sensei, we would like to opt out of this year's Goodwill event." Maki bowed respectfully in front of Gojo, followed by Panda and Inumaki. The trio of first years gawked out of pure disbelief... at least Nobara and Yuji did. Megumi raised a curious eyebrow, but it barely made an impression on his otherwise bored expression.

"Ohoho~ And why is that?" Gojo shoved his hands into his pocket with a smirk on his face. He wasn't possibly going to take their request seriously. They had a reputation to uphold among the other Jujutsu schools.

Maki gritted her teeth and hesitated to find the right words. Panda scoffed and looked away solemnly. Inumaki clenched his fists in anger, his vivid violet eyes coming to life with a burning flame.

"Because of Y/n." Inumaki threw down the collar to his shirt and stepped forward, his usual soft voice replaced with one filled with anger. Maki threw out her arm to stop him from approaching any further before exhaling deeply, most of her composure having returned to her.
