Chapter 6

"Our world is one of blood and honour, where the strong devour the weak."

Y/n burst into jk Empire, her face beaming with excitement. She was carrying a basket of her freshest organic fruits, carefully selected for Jk's order. As she entered the lobby, she was greeted by Jk's security team, who whisked the basket away from her hands.

"Right this way Miss y/n"
Soojin, Jk's secretary said with a smile leading her to the elevator.

As she stepped into the office, y/n enthusiasm faltered. Jk's expression was dark, his eyes blazing with intensity. It was the same piercing gaze she had seen in her farmhouse , when he was chasing after that man. Contrast to his expression at the party was jarring.

Y/n felt a shivered run down her spine as she approached his desk
"Hi Mr.....Jk.... I brought the fruits that you have ordered" her voice trembling slightly.

Jk's gaze didn't waver, his eyes still burning with anger "Thank you y/n"
He said curtly , his voice low and menacing.

Y/n's excitement deflated, replaced by a sense of unease.

Jk's eyes narrowed and asked "Where did you get that diamond pendant
Y/n? Tell me the truth"

Y/n got confused as she had already told him before,she twisted her face in frustration "I already told you, I found it in an artificial apple dropped by that strange man whom you were chasing. I thought it was just a wierd trinket but...."

Jk's skepticism was palpable "You expect me to believe that ? That you just happened to find a diamond pendant in a fake apple"

Y/n's anger boiled over "Why are you interrogating me like this? I'm telling the truth! You are the one who's been playing games . First you chase some guy through my farm, then you order fruits from me and now you're accusing me of...of... I don't even know what!"

Her voice rose, her eyes flashing
"I don't know anything about your precious diamond pendant, or your fake fruit or your secret dealing with that man.Just leave me alone."

Jk's face darkened,his eyes blazing with anger. He suddenly stood up , his voice low and menacing "Don't try to trigger me, otherwise it won't be good for you."

Y/n stood her ground , her eyes flashing with defiance "I don't care whether you believe me or not . I've had enough of your games and secrets. I don't want to encounter you ever again."

She turned to leave, but Jk's voice stopped her "You think you can just walk away from me?"

Y/n spun back around,her voice firm
"Yes I can and I will."
