Chapter 1: Cheater

"ELLIE! MAKE ME COFFEE NOW!" My boyfriend of 3 years yelled at me whilst yanking my hair to wake me up.

"Will do." I looked down and walked to the kitchen. This was a typical Monday morning. Him hitting me to wake me up. 2 years ago, he hit me for the first time. I wish I could go back in time and stopped him but now I have to survive with this abusive relationship. Shaking my head, I decided to make him coffee. As I was pouring the coffee in his mug, he walked in and slapped me really hard on the cheek.

"MAKE IT RIGHT BITCH. I HATE THIS MUG AND YOU KNOW THAT!" He yanked my hair to make me face him and squeezed my face in his hands, "Make it right or you know what will happen."

"I-I'm sorry. I forgot. I'm just tired.." I knew exactly what was going to happen. What else would he do except beating me up? I made the coffee and placed it in front of him. "Here's your coffee." I mumbled.

"I don't want coffee anymore. I'm going to leave," he grabbed his jacket and threw it around his shoulder and walked out with his keys in his hand. Sighing, I sat down on the couch and started to sob. I couldn't even break up with him because he would kill himself if I did and that was the last thing I wanted him to do.

I walked to my room to change out of my pajamas and went to take a shower. When I came out of the shower, I noticed I got a text by my friend Mandy.

ELLLLIEEEEEE!!! SHAWN TOTALLY ASKED ME OUT. YES HE FINALLY TOOK ME BACK. I'M SO HAPPY. FKXJEJDJDJDND

Smiling, I shook my head. Shawn and Mandy had an off and on relationship but she loved him no matter how many times she moved on. I was honestly happy for her. At least she didn't have a shitty boyfriend like mine.

I'm so happy for you!! Congrats!

Want to meet up later? Or Jake won't let you leave the house?

I'll call him if not. Then who the fuck cares. I'm going.

I shut off my phone and put it on the bedside table. As I was picking my outfit, I heard someone open the front door. Must be Jake. I thought. I picked out light skinny jeans and a red tee shirt.

As I was wearing my outfit, I heard strange sounds coming from the living room. Me being my curious self wore my outfit and slowly tip-toed to the living room. Gasping, I saw Jake on top of a red-head. She was completely top-less and well Jake, he was completely naked. Jake looked up when he heard my gasp. His eyes widened and he looked angry.

"Baby who's that girl?" The red-head asked him. She looked at me with a disgusted look on my face.

"She's my sister, babe. Don't worry. I completely forgot she was home." He looked at her and smiled at her then looked back at me with an annoyed look on his face. "Ellie weren't you going to hang out with Mandy?" He gave me a narrow look and pointing me to the door with his eyes.

"Um..yeah. I was just about to leave until I came in and saw this." I looked down and laughed. I waved goodbye and closed the door behind me. I didn't really care at this point. This wasn't the first time he has cheated on me. It's probably his millionth time. I called Mandy as I was walking down the stairs.

"Hi Ellie! So can you come?" She spoke happily.

"Yes, I can. Guess what? You won't be surprised by the way." I laughed. My keys fell from my hands and I kneeled down to pick it up. As I was standing back up, I bumped my forehead on something hard. "Ow!" I yelped out.

"I'm so sorry I didn't see you there!" I heard a deep voice and looked up to see a man with blonde hair and blue eyes. "Hope you're alright." He creased his eyebrows together.

"I'm fine," I smiled at him. "It wasn't even your fault. I should've known better."

He laughed and shook his head. "I just moved here. It's a pretty nice place, don't you think so?" He looked around and then looked at me. "I'm Hunter by the way." He winked at me.

"I'm Ellie. Nice to meet you, Hunter." I took my hand out for him to shake. "I have to go so I guess I'll see you around?" He nodded yes and said goodbye to me.

I noticed I was still on the call with Mandy. "Oops!" I face palmed. "I'm so sorry Mandy! I just bumped into a guy and forgot I was still on the call with you and yea."

"Girl, it's okay. I was listening to your guys' conversation anyways. Is he hot? Or not?"

"Well..haha..he is pretty darn hot." I laughed loudly. "Okay, I'm outside of the buildings. Where are you?"

"Coming woman." I saw her red car approaching me. And she slid down the window and told me to get in.

"Well hi there," I greeted her. "So where are we going?"

"To the mall, duhh. There will be so many hot guys."

"Yes so many hot guys that if I go up to one and Jake finds out, I will be dead. By the way, Jake cheated again. Not surprised actually." I laughed out loud.

"Really? You should try to leave him but no you don't want to. Why can't you anyways?"

I looked down and started to play with my phone. "Well...it's a secret. I'm sorry."

"It's okay girlie. Okay list of stores we need to go to are Forever 21, Hot Topic, H&M and..." She began listing the stores out and I looked out the window and thanked god for such an amazing friend.
