Chapter 3

Bella

         After I got done getting ready for our guests I made my way towards the front of the packhouse. When I got there my mother just scoffed at me and rolled her eyes at me as she went to go stand by my father. As we stood out front waiting for this alpha to get here I was placed by my brother, and I was left avoiding his glares. It appears that he hasn't forgotten the juice incident yesterday. Thank the goddess for the alpha arriving just in the nick of time, I'll only have to greet him and then I'm free to go and do as I'm required to do, cleaning the packhouse from top to bottom.

       As the alpha and beta stepped out of the car I got to take a glance at him. I never expected him to be that attractive. How can someone be that good-looking? I'm flabbergasted, to say the least at a loss for words if you will. As he walked up to shake my father's hand, I had to keep a straight unfazed look on my face, because the last thing I need is to make my situation worse than it already was. Also, I was surprised to see that his beta was female. Not many packs are willing to have the opposite gender be second in command. I think that it's amazing that she has the opportunity to be in the decision-making process regarding the pack's well-being.

       After he shook my father's hand and greeted him he slowly made it down the line of the family starting with my mother who of course was trying to act as if everything in my family was grand and nothing was wrong. I saw through her stupid little act I always do but it seems that the alpha didn't notice at face value. Then he went to my brother who acted as if nothing was inferior to him. Man do I hate having to be around these fake ass people for only 2 more weeks and I'll be 18 so I  can get out of this hell hole. Then he went to my sister Corrie which she is trying her damndest to get his attention. Flaunting her looks towards him and trying to push her chest out to get him to look at her boobs, basically being desperate to get him to take her as his Luna.

    He then finally got to me my oh my, I was so shy as I looked him in the eye he had the most alluring sea-blue eyes that I've ever seen. I couldn't help but get lost in them, it got to the point that I had to physically shake my head to clear my daze to properly greet Alpha Kayden. "Hello, Alpha Kayden it's lovely to meet you." He responded as I expected with a hello but what surprised me was when he gently took my hand and lightly pecked the top. I couldn't help the slight blush on my face that I tried to hide away with my hair. After the introductions were made we all made our way into the packhouse. My father led Alpha Kayden up the stairs then my siblings followed them. It didn't surprise me that Jack followed Dad since that is what he always does, always up dads ass trying to suck up to anyone and every one of power since he's to become alpha after he finds his mate.

    I went to follow everyone as I was last in line, as I was walking into the hallway I was stopped by my mother. My mother hissed at me "Make sure to be on your best behavior you little bitch. Mind your own business, keep your mouth shut, and don't you dare embarrass us!" Man, I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't. I didn't even do anything and she's already on my ass threatening me. This is going to be a long ass day I can already tell.  I went to walk around the corner to get started on my chores and not be in the line of fire of my mother I accidentally lost my footing and bumped into a vase on the table. It fell over and I couldn't catch it in time, so it shattered all over the floor. I went to grab the broom and dust pan to clean it up, and when I got back there stood my mother...

    Of course, my mother just had to be here... I tried to explain to her what happened but she wouldn't listen and started screaming at me saying that it was on purpose. Just as she was about to smack me across the face Alpha Kayden came walking up to us. I was terrified of what my mother would do to me and I knew my face was all sorts of messed up. Thank the goddess that he got here when he did.

     I never knew that someone could be so kind, after my mother walked away after Alpha said some words to her he gave me a card with his info on it. He said that if I ever needed his help to call him day or night. Like I said never expected that from anyone let alone him of all people. I was finally able to get my cleaning done after all the shit that I had to deal with. I couldn't wait to shower and go to bed.

Man, why does Bella get treated like this? Do you think that she will accept help from Kayden? I guess we shall see what's to come!
