"Now announcing the results of our student body elections,"
A voice from the intercom spoke.

Hinata's head shot up in surprise. Student council elections?! When the hell did that happen? He looked over to Kageyama, who also looked like he had no clue.

The president ended up being someone Hinata didn't know, but the vice president...

As your name was spoken, the class erupted into whispers.

With your popularity, you totally should've president!

"How could he not be president?"
"Maybe it was rigged?"

More whispers.
"I heard that he actually refused to be president,"
"He's so humble!"

While your class was crowding around you with congratulations, Yachi asked you about your new position.

"Did you really refuse to be president? Why?"

You sighed,
"If I was president, I'd have to stay after school every day,"

Yeah you were humble, but that wasn't why you didn't accept the role as president. Do you know how much work that'd be?! How many speeches you'd have to come up with?! Even earlier mornings too?!

As vice president, you'd get all the prestige without having to do as much work. The perfect job for you!

"I'll make sure to put in a good word for the volleyball club, I can probably get you guys new nets or something,"

Yachi smiled wide at your promise, imagining how happy the members would be getting new equipment. Then suddenly, a book was held in front of her face.

"This is the one you were planning on buying, right? I found it in my bookshelf,"

She gasped, grabbing onto the book and flipping through the pages.
"I'll make sure to return it when I'm done!"

You shook your head,
"Nah, you can keep it. It was a fun read, but I'm ready to part ways with it,"

"He really let me keep the book!"
Yachi exclaimed with a smile, the rest of the team crowded around her as she told them the good news.

Hinata managed to find allies in Tanaka and Nishinoya, who also weren't too fond of your  popularity with the girls of the school.

"He's trying to steal our Yachi! What happens if he goes after our Kiyoko next!"
Tanaka said with a sour expression.

Nishinoya nodded along,
"He probably won't even get us new stuff! Those types always make empty promises,"

Hinata nodded along, glad that there were others who shared the same opinions as you.

"Thanks for the help bringing this in, Sensei!"
The members all turned their heads towards the slightly familiar voice.

"N-no p-problem!"
Takeda struggled to speak as he helped you carry a whole boatload of new equipment into the gym.

The teacher let out a loud sigh of relief as the two of you set the equipment on the ground, with you somehow showing no signs of struggle at all.

"Yachi! I brought the things!"
You waved over to your friend, who went over to talk with you.

The rest of the team crowded around the gear, admiring the new look of it all. How did you get all this stuff so quickly?! It was your first day!

"This net pole doesn't squeak!"
"The rope on the net isn't that weird dirty color either,"
"This balls so smooth!"

"I also made some cookies for you all too, where should I-"
Nishinoya and Tanaka both rushed over to you, grabbing the box of desserts you held.

They both hesitantly took a nibble from one of the cookies before stuffing their faces with your treats.

"These are so good!"
"You need to come over more often!"

And just like that Hinata lost his fellow haters, what's more is that after a few blinks, you were right in front of him.

"You've been staring at me for a while now,"
You commented, sweat starting to drip from the short boy's head.

Oh god, were you going to kill him?! in front of everyone?!

"Have a cookie!"
You popped a cookie into his mouth, and the sweet flavors forced a small smile on his face.

"It's good!"
He managed to say.

"I'm glad you think so! I remember you saying something about wanting cookies in your sleep,"
You said with a satisfied smile, unintentionally making the tangerine go a little red.

He said things in his sleep? And you listened to it?!

"Well, I've gotta go home now. Good luck with practice everyone!"
You cheered before heading out.

As you left the gym, Hinata couldn't help but think.

Did you make those cookies just for him?
