[ ᴋʜᴀᴏs ᴄᴏʀᴅᴏᴠᴀ ʜᴏᴜsᴇ ]

After a very eventful evening, we somehow ended up at my little cottage here in LA, Skylar or Rosabella should I say, tagged along with her two brothers, Stefano and Santiago, and her 3 friends, Colten, whose third in command to Skylar, Alexei, who I learned is the Russian mafia heir and Marcus, her personal bodyguard.

Her friends are still on guard around me but have somewhat taken a liking to Andre, he's always been the mediator, calm, funny, friendly and supportive. Clients and friends have always taken a liking to him, whereas others tend to shy away from me.

Waking up this morning, I never expected tonight end this way, it was meant to be a simple dinner with the Italians to meet my soon to be wife. Not once did I ever expect Skylar c'è Bella, the Spanish Donna to also be Rosabella De Anglo the Italian-American mafia princess and my soon to be wife.

There's two sides to how I'm feeling, on one hand I'm very glad I won't be marrying some gold digging daddy's girl, on the other hand, I'll be marrying the most stubborn woman, no scratch that, the most stubborn human I've ever met.

Over the last week of working close by her stubborn ass, I've somewhat gotten used to her ways but she always has some smart-ass comment that made me want to wring her fucking neck. That girl got under my skin like no person l'd ever dealt with before. Most people would cower when I told them what to do, but not her. She fought me at every turn. It was both irritating and intoxicating all at once. Half of the time, I wasn't sure if I wanted to punish her in the most sinful ways or kill her, which only made me despise even her more than already had.

She made me feel things that I've never felt, I've never been good with emotions but for a little stubborn thing she sure brings out the humanity in me.

The first time I've ever felt genuine sympathy for someone who isn't my family was when I saw those god awful images and then finding those videos, all of it brought out a more softer side to me when I'm around her.

Walking over to the small kitchen area where Skylar was, I lent against the counter top facing her.

"We do have one problem," I inform her.

"What is it?" She asks irritated, keeping her eyes on the living room.

"I don't know if you're aware, but both our grandfathers signed the contract and that only meant they needed one signature-" without having to finish she understood where I was going.

"You agreed, didn't you? You thought having a woman to tie you to a powerful mafia was nothing more than a means to an end, a simple chip for trade, what did you expect, to have this woman bow down at your feet? be at your every beck and call? Or produce a heir for you, to only kill her afterwards?"

Giving me no time to answer, she leans up to my ear and whisper.

"Let me make one thing very clear to you Khaos Córdova, I'm no means to end, I'm the Donna of the most powerful mafia this world has seen in a long time and I sure as hell won't be tying anyone, especially not you, to my hard earned status." She turns away from me, heading towards the living room.

"Oh no you don't." i reached forward, grabbing her upper arm to pull her body around to face me.

"I don't need to explain my thoughts behind my decision, but I do have a proposition?" I offer, she was correct in thinking my marriage was a simple chip for trade, I never wanted nor needed a woman by my side, but now is different, she's powerful, very powerful and this could come in handy.

Her lips purse and she nods slowly.

"I've already signed the contract and if you marry me willing, it gets both our families of our backs and we'd be working with the Italians to help take down the Irish, once there gone we divorce. Simple."

Her jaw clenches and nostrils flare, was it something I said? I thought I was being considerate for once, if she wasn't the Spanish Donna she'd be half way to Mexico by now, willingly or not.

"YOU ALREADY SIGNED THE CONTRACT!?!" Her voice raised too many octaves for my ear drums to compute, but I'd take the fact my right cheek is now tingling due to the left hand now resting on it that she's not happy.

"Are you some sort of fucking idiot, who the fuck signs a contract without meeting the person, you've been here with me for the past two hours and not once did you mention the fact that I'm already destined to marry you, no loophole, no choice, whatever khaos says goes huh?"

"Exactly that, wow I thought it would take a lot more for you to finally understand that." I sigh in relief rhetorically, but she doesn't seem to mirror my cheeky grin.

"Perhaps if you took some time off your high horse it would remind you that I am still the leader of the underground, and what I say goes. No matter who you are. You might want to remember that, khaos." She gives me a wink.

Yet again her stubborn ass won't give in, I hate to even admit it but we're too alike for our own good, this could go on for many years just like it has for the last 2.

Deciding to be the bigger person, I offer "Well, if not my wife then we can be friends for now,"

"I wouldn't count on it." She replied sarcastically before plugging in her headphones and shutting her eyes.

I feel the blood rush to my face, as I hear clapping come from the living room, I turn to see Andre and her friend Colten smirking at my expense.

Do you see what I mean, she's one of the most infuriating and annoying people to live, not once in my almost twenty three years of living have I ever felt embarrassed but she just had to be the first to make it happen.

This woman is going to be the death of me.

The car ride home last night was silent and tense to say the least.
