The next morning, Shrek was still grumbling about the chaos of the previous day. He handed Qwark a makeshift desk and tried to ignore the constant tinkling and tinkling coming from it. Qwark, on the other hand, was deeply focused and prone to strange gadgetry.
As Qwark ran, it chattered animatedly to itself, explaining the intricacies of its technology. Shrek, as he tried to concentrate on his breakfast, could barely ignore the noise. He glanced at Qwark's strange gear, which was now emitting a soft pulsing glow.
"Okay, it's time for you to explain what's going on here," Shrek said, setting aside his breakfast. "Why did that plane of yours crash into my swamp and what is the magic?"
Qwark looked up, his eyes shining with excitement. "Ah yes! It's a teleportation device. It was meant to create a portal between worlds, but it must have gone wrong. It's attracting a lot of magical energy, which is why it's causing all this disturbance."
Before Shrek could react, the ground below them began to shake. Qwark's device made a loud, alarming beep, and the air crackled with energy. A vortex appeared above them, casting a terrible light on the swamp.
"What the hell is that, holding the hat so it doesn't fly away?
Qwark's face paled. "It would be a portal. It seems to react to the magical energy of your world. If we don't close it, who knows what could happen!"
The vortex began to expand and strange glowing shapes began to appear. Shrek and Qwark exchanged panicked looks.
"Looks like we have company," Shrek said getting ready. "Let's see what that hero of yours can do."
Qwark's courage returned, albeit shakily. "Right! Heroic deeds and all!"
As the figures fully materialized, Shrek and Qwark prepared to face what came from the portal, and both would soon find themselves in a world far stranger than they had ever imaginedThe next morning, Shrek was still grumbling about the chaos of the previous day.
