“Now presenting Princess (F/n) and Prince Koutarou,” Rui, Kaede’s boyfriend, announced.

Kaede, Koutarou, (F/n), and Rui were playing pretend as a royal family. Kaede was the queen, Rui was her knight, and Koutarou and (F/n) were the prince and princess. (F/n) was in her princess dress and had a tiara on. Kaede had a bigger crown on her head while Rui had a cardboard sword and shield that he cut out of an old box. Koutarou on the other hand had a makeshift crown that (F/n) made for him.

“What is the reason for your presentation?” Kaede said in a proper voice.

“(F/n) and I went to visit the townspeople and what we saw was such devastation,” Koutarou explained, “The townspeople are starving,”

Kaede hummed.

“Must feed them cookies!” (F/n) said.

“Princess (F/n)’s suggestion was to give the townspeople cookies,” Koutarou expanded (F/n)’s idea.

“I see,” Kaede nodded as she played with her hair, “Sir Rui, please write down an announcement for the townspeople,”

“Of course, Your Majesty,” Rui pulled out a blank scroll and a feather pen, “What shall it say?”

Kaede thought for a moment, “On the next sunrise after the full moon, our palace shall hold a bakery sale where each pastry only costs a single silver coin,”

“Townspeople have no money,” (F/n) said.

Kaede looked at Koutarou who nodded in confirmation.

“They are begging our taxes be reduced,” Koutarou informed Kaede, “I’m afraid if the Knights collect the tax payment tomorrow, half our kingdom shall fall in a famine-like plague,”

Kaede sighed and looked at Rui, “What do you think?”

Rui looked at her, “I am simply a Queen’s Knight, my opinion does not matter,”

Kaede raised her eyebrow, “You are next in line for power if I and my children pass away, your opinion is and will be valued,”

Rui blinked before answering, “I believe we have enough silver coins to spare for the townspeople, plus more,”

Kaede hummed, “Alright, write that the townspeople shall only bring themselves and their family if they want to acquire cookies and such,”

(F/n) smiled, “HOORAY!”
