It was nighttime, in the middle of nowhere, deep within a forest, and it was raining. A small hut in a forest had been destroyed. Screams and yells could be heard inside it. In the mist of the ruined building, a heated battle was coming to an end. "JUST DIE!" Zorion roared, a series of huge fireballs spewed out of his hand, but they narrowly missed his adversary. At the moment Malikar landed, he instantly sent multiple dark tendrils at Zorian, which coiled around his hands, feet, and torso. Zorion saw that his attack had set the wall where his foe had once stood on fire, but he couldn't worry about that now. He set the tendrils on fire, but for some reason, it wasn't enough. "Fine then!" Zorion he growled internally, amping the flame to max temperature, as he did so, his Malikar was suddenly in front of him, as though he had teleported. The bindings hadn't melted enough to allow Zorion to move, let alone dodge the attack. Using the opportunity, Malikar stabbed him with his weapon, straight through his heart. A sharp burst of agony crackled through Zorions body, and he coughed out a small puddle of blood, in the corner of his eye, he could see them both, his wife, Serafin, and their child, Zora. "M-must hold on, j-just a l-little longer" he thought, "ha-have to g-g-ive him a c-chance to sur-vive". The binding had melted enough that Zorion could move, but Malikar hadn't noticed, he was fixated in Zora now. He tried to pull the weapon out of Zorion, but before he did, Zorion twisted, grabbed Malikars face and flung him at one of the crumbling walls with all his might. He crashed through the wall, but still managed to flip mind air and land on his feet. Blood was pouring out of Zorions mouth and chest, the world around him was starting to out of focus. He staggered side was as Malikar stepped through the hole in the wall. He grinned, as if to show that Zorions struggle with futile. Zorions gritted his teeth, and then took a step forward. Malikar crouched, turned his weapon into a scythe, and blitzed Zorion, cutting every part of his body. "Shit, shit shit shit" He thought, as his dead body thudded on the ground.

She watched as her husband collapsed on the ground. She knew she only had a few second before he died, before that monster killed her and her child as well. A with a feeling of immeasurable shock and fear, as Malikar stood up. Knowing how fast he was, it was already too late, she was too slow, she looked down, and saw the end of what looked like a scythe, "well, what are your last words, before you die?" he asked, with a hint of a smirk in his voice. The fear vanished, drown out by her feelings and anger, and determination. "Heh" Serafin said as he searched the dimensions in her head, getting ready to do it. "Yeah, just one...thing" she said, looking up at Malikar, "go burn in hell" she said, as she opened a portal right under her child, and immediately closed it, making it seem as though they had disappeared. "No!" the man said, glaring at her and the spot where Zora had been. In that moment, she had a little time to think, to hope that the Kamado family would treat him well, that they would be well hidden in a world nearly nobody knew or cared about. Then again, this was Malikar, the most ruthless and powerful Void-Shatterer of their generation, he could find anyone or anything, so, it was only a matter of time before he found Zora. "Hopefully" She thought to herself, "hopefully, if or when he does find Zora, my little boy, he'll be ready, and may be able to stop him"

Meanwhile, in a separate dimension, another story was unfolding.

The sun was beating down on the smouldering hot sand. She could hear the distant roars of a Desertstalker, searching for her. The egg in her arms was warm, very warm, scalding. "I have to get there quick" she thought desperately, "or I'll die here". As she was starting to loss hope, she saw something off in the distance. A palm tree! Could it be it? She runs harder, but as she gets closer, the tree vanishes. "No...no, no no no no!" it was a mirage, she was losing it! Then, before she could even blink, the sand ahead of her was swallowed up as a huge Sandwhirler, the size of a house, cannoned at her.
