As expected, the following days were peaceful, with Natalia eliminated from causing more troubles. Although, I felt a bit bad for what I did.
On the other hand, Gideon was staying with us. He didn't even ask about his mother. He was a quiet child who didn't like to hang out with other kids.
Although it seemed peaceful, I couldn't help feeling like something was not right. It was so peaceful that I didn't enjoy relaxing. I was thinking of Gene. As I said before, it felt like the calm before the storm.
And now, we've decided to eat outside because we have been inside the mansion for quite some time. But, one of Nolan's cousins wanted to join us.
Pagpasok namin sa isang restaurant sa isang sikat na hotel, pinagtitinginan kami ng bawat nalalagpasan namin. Iginaya kami ng waiter sa isang private room.
Inside was just as wonderful as the outside. The table was wide and had a vintage style, along with the chairs. There was a vase with flowers on the table, and a large glass window allowed us to see the busy cars outside. The lighting was pleasant, giving us a feeling of comfort and peace.
Pagkaupo namin ay may dumating na waiter at sinabi na namin ang mga order namin.
"Nolan, bakit wala dito ang pinsan mo? Akala ko ba nauna na siya dito?" Usisa ko kay Nolan.
He just leaned on his chair and gave me a side-eye look. "Probably, he went somewhere to lessen his boredom."
Tumango naman ako.
Medyo na-late kasi kami ngayon dahil nahirapan ako kumbinsihin si Nolan na isuot niya. Plano pa naman magsuot ng business suit. Sinabi ko na family outing lang naman ito kaya mas mabuti kaswal lang.
So, here, we were wearing white-themed shirts. The twins were wearing shirts with Tom and Jerry prints. Nolan was in a plain t-shirt paired with loose polo and shorts, while I opted for a white sweatshirt and loose pants. Our outfits looked casual and comfortable.
"Is Uncle Reg kind?' Nabaling ang tingin ko kay Kieran na tahimik na nagtanong kay Phelan.
"Yes, but he's a kinda think crazily sometimes. He makes fun of things randomly and such." sagot naman ni Phelan.
Hindi ko pa nakikita itong pinsan ni Nolan kaya nagtataka ako kung anong klaseng tao siya.
Sa sandaling iyun ay biglang bumukas ang pintuan at pumasok ang isang lalaki. He's wearing a white plaid shirt and khaki shorts, which is not bad.
His messy black hair covers his forehead. With squinted eyes, a high nose, and thin lips, he looks pale and kinda cute. There is an air of arrogance about him as he sweeps his eyes over us.
"Family! Good greetings!" bati nito at kinindatan ako nang magtagpo ang tingin namin.
Tinaasan ko lang siya ng kilay at sumulyap kay Nolan na mukhang wala siyng pakialam. Nagsimulang siyang maglakad palapit sa kinaroroonan ko at inilahad nito ang kamay niya.
"I am Regulus, beautiful." His voice tinged with arrogance and playfulness. Kinuha ko ang kamay ni Nolan at iyun ang inabot sa kamay ni Regulus.
"I am Cecilia, Nolan's fiancee."
Kitang kita ko ang pagngiwi nito nang matanggap niya ang kamay ni Nolan. Inalis nito kaagad ang kamay niya na parang napapaso at tumawa na parang baliw.
"Ha ha ha ha! Ikaw pala si Cecilia..."
"You're Uncle Reg!" boses ni Kieran.
Nabaling ang tingin ni Regulus kay Kieran. Nagningning ang mga mata nito at lumapit kay Kieran at umupo sa tabi nito.
