Pitch Black had been confined beneath the current world ever since the Guardians had banished him, left to wallow in the shadows of despair. With no children left to fear him, he found himself drifting through an existence that felt increasingly meaningless.
Days turned into years as he pondered his place in a world that had moved on without him. Casting him in the shadows of the earth. That was all until he stumbled upon an ancient relic hidden deep within the earths surface—a powerful stone said to possess the ability to traverse realms, even across distant universes. The Guardians had dismissed its existence as a mere myth, completely unaware of the looming threat it posed to all.
With this newfound opportunity, Pitch felt a spark of hope igniting within him, a chance to restore his influence and instill fear once more, even if it meant venturing beyond his own universe. Yet, what he didn't anticipate was that his actions would unleash chaos, creating a massive rift between worlds that led to unpredictable portals opening across realms, causing countless people to vanish into thin air.

At the North Pole, the atmosphere was filled with urgency as the Guardians assembled once more, each grappling with the growing chaos threatening to spiral out of control. The usually vibrant workshop felt tense, the joyous sounds of toys being made now filled with anxious murmurs.
"North, what can we do?!" Tooth fluttered anxiously around Santa, her wings shimmering under the soft glow of the workshop lights. She clasped her hands together, her usual confidence shattered as she struggled to maintain her composure.
"We have to find a solution, and fast! This isn't just about our universe anymore—this could endanger every universe out there!" Bunnymund shouted, his voice tinged with desperation as he thumped a paw against the table. The weight of their responsibility pressed heavily on him, visible in the tight lines of his face.
North paused, his gaze sweeping over the other Guardians, searching their faces for resolve. "I know what's at stake more than anyone, but we need to stay calm. Has anyone heard from Jack recently?"
Sandman, his expressive eyes filled with worry, shook his head, forming a large question mark above him with his golden sand, the fine grains shimmering.
"No... we're all here, except Jack." Tooth added, her expression shifting from concern to dread, her small frame trembling as she flittered closer to North.
Bunnymund scoffed, crossing his arms defensively. "That idiot's probably out there having fun, completely oblivious to what's going on." He huffed, trying to mask the worry creeping into his own heart with bravado.
North quickly interjected, "No, I don't think that's the case. I've had a bad feeling in my belly... and with that boy's curiosity..." His voice lowered, a hint of apprehension flowing through his words.
"You don't think he—" Tooth's eyes widened in alarm, realization dawning on her as she connected the dots.
"That he might've stumbled into one of those portals? Wouldn't put it past him, that reckless fool." Bunnymund muttered.
North resumed his brisk pace, his heavy boots echoing against the workshop floor as the others hurried to keep up, urgency propelling them forward. "Our priority now is finding one of those gems.. there's only been two in the ancient books.. we have to find both the gem and Jack." His voice was steady, a beacon of resolve amidst the chaos.
"We should split up; we'll cover more ground that way." Bunnymund suggested as he followed behind North.
Tooth nodded in agreement, her anxiety turning into focus. "Yes, we should all head in different directions. If we find Jack or one of those mirrors, we'll have a better chance of restoring order."
