Ankou stared at the dust in his hand, which is all that's remaining from the flowers. The ashes soon were carries away with the next breeze of wind.

The dust in the wind dissipated with the breeze, an image of the beauty of life that once was. He watched it with a wistful look, reminded of the power he once possessed, now reduced to a mere whisper within this castle's walls. He turned his gaze to Chaim, his face still looking at Death with kindness and compassion, his eyes filled with a silent plea.

"Why are you here?" Ankou mutters, repeating himself as his form becomes somewhat more solid, less weak with the energy the dying flowers left on him.

Chaim's expression grew soft and compassionate as he sensed the effect that the flowers had on Ankou. He understood the significance of the moment, knowing that the flowers were more than just a gesture of kindness. Their bright pink petals brining a light of hope into his otherwise dark existence.

"I'm here because I care about you, Ankou. You are a force of balance in the universe, a necessary prt of the cycle of life and death. And I wanted to remind you of your importance, of your purpose. You may be trapped here, but your role in the world is still a vital one." Chaim answered him, his tone clearly authoritative but as soft as the whispers in the winds he created.

Death looked down, his eyes fixed onto the copper-coloured bricks under his being. "A role I cannot complete, Chaim..."

"Perhaps, for now, you cannot complete it. But that does not mean your role is unimportant. You must remember that death is a part of life, a necessary part . Without death, there can be no rebirth, no renewal, no growth. You are a part of that process, just as I am a part of the process of life. We are two sides of the same coin, Ankou. We are interconnected, interdependent."

Death knew that Chaim was right -which he would never admit aloud. His eyes lost focus of the ground as he just let his mind wander to the times they had together centuries ago. He sighed. "You've always been way too optimistic, it's not good for you."

"And you've always been too pessimistic," Chaim said with a smile. "But that's what makes us so different, and yet so much the same. We complement each other, like the light and the dark. We cannot exist without each other."
