A big mansion appeared ahead, a beautiful structure that seemed to hold centuries of secrets within its walls. As the car came to a stoo, Louis stepped out, moving to my side to open the door with a friendly gesture.

“Welcome to your new home, Rose,” he said, his voice filled with a mixture of warmth and formality.

Before I could respond, a blur of movement caught my eye. A small figure with pale skin and blond hair rushed up to Louis, her face lighting up with joy. She threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

“Louis! I’ve missed you so much!” she exclaimed, her voice light and melodic. She pulled back just enough to plant a quick kiss on his lips. I averted my gaze, feeling awkward and out of place.

“This is Amara,” Louis introduced, his tone affectionate. “Amara, this is Rose. She’s in need of our protection.”

Amara’s blue eyes turned to me, her expression friendly but curious. “Welcome, Rose. You’re safe here.”

“Thank you,” I murmured, offering a small smile.

“Let’s get you settled in,” Louis said, guiding me inside. The mansion’s interior was even more impressive than its exterior, with rich decor that spoke of old money and ancient lineage. Amara walked beside Louis, their hands brushing occasionally, a clear sign of their bond.

Louis led me to a spacious room on the second floor. It was elegantly furnished, with a large canopy bed, antique dresser, and a big window with a view of the misty garden. “This will be your room. Please take a moment to freshen up. Join us downstairs for a conversation in a few minutes.”

I nodded, grateful for the privacy. As I start exploring my surroundings, my mind wandered to Celeste, the mysterious vampire who had turned my world upside down. Despite everything, thoughts of her lingered in my mind, stirring emotions I could barely understand.

After a few minutes, I made my way downstairs to a cozy sitting room where Louis and Amara were waiting. A fire crackled in the background, casting a warm glow over the room.

“Please, have a seat,” Louis said, gesturing to a plush armchair.

Amara poured tea from an ornate teapot, handing me a delicate cup. “Tea always helps in times of stress,” she said with a kind smile.

I took a sip, the warmth soothing my nerves. Louis leaned forward, his expression earnest. “Rose, we need to understand everything about your interactions with Celeste. Any detail could be crucial.”

I began recounting my encounters with Celeste, her hypnotic words, and the strange sensations I felt around her. I carefully chose my word leaving out the intimate moments, feeling they were too personal to share.

As I spoke, my voice trembled, and my eyes filled up with tears. “She was...different. She made me feel things I’ve never felt before.”

Louis reached out, his hand resting gently on mine. “I understand, Rose. This is difficult, but you’re not alone.”

Amara’s expression tightened, a flicker of jealousy in her eyes. She quickly masked it, offering me a sympathetic look. “We’re here to help you, Rose.”

After our conversation and the soothing tea, I excused myself, needing some time alone to process everything. I returned to my room, exhaustion pulling at me. I lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, my mind a whirlwind of emotions and memories.

A soft knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. I got up, opening the door to find no one there. My eyes fell to a note on the floor. Picking it up, I read the words: *Stay away from Louis.*
