When Rio was standing in front of the house, he felt like he couldn't do it. Just... go inside and pretend like they were one big happy family.

Because they weren't. There was so much pain in the house they had to go through as children. Pain, he had to go through.

When he finally decided to walk in, the first person he saw was Allison. She didn't notice him at first, but when she did, she strolled to him.

"Oh my god, Rio, hi" Allison smiled. "Hey," Rio just said plainly. He honestly had no energy to talk to people. Or some stupid reunion.

"How are you?" she asked, her eyes shining. "Yeah, good" Rio lied. He was not okay. Not even one bit. He was having the worst time of his life. But who cares?

"You?" he asked politely. "Oh, it's been pretty chaotic, but you know. I'm holding on" his sister answered. 'How can she be so happy?'

Rio just nodded and walked to the living room. That stupid portrait. He was looking right at him. Right into his not-so-much-blue eyes.

"What are you staring at?" he frowned arrogantly, walking to a bar. He took some booze, not even bothering to pour it into a glass, drinking it straight from the bottle.

After a few sips, he decided to walk to his old room. Just to look around.

As he slowly walked up the stairs, he saw Diego, walking down. "Rio?" he asked. "Hey," Rio just said, as they exchanged nods and continued on their way.

They never really talked with each other much. There was no bad blood between them, they just never had anything in common.

When Rio stepped in front of his room, he just opened the door, took a big deep breath, and a big swing of the alcohol in his hand, stepping inside.

Everything was the same way he left it. Old drawings on the walls, stickers of sea creatures on his closet, old cassette player still on his nightstand...

-flashback-

"Just the two of us" both boys sang loudly, sitting on the bed, smiling at each other.

"We can make it if we try" Five looked into Rio's bright blue eyes. Rio just smiled even more, jumping on Five, making him blink away.

"Don't do that. Ever again" Five said, trying to hide his smile. "No" Rio grinned at him, running to him.

They were chasing each other around the room, while the music was still playing.

"Five, wait!" Rio breathed out. "Yea?" Five laughed. "I have something for you," the blue-eyed boy said, sitting on the bed.

The raven followed him, wondering what he might have for him. "This" Rio pulled out of his pocket a small piece of wood. When he gave it to Five, he could finally see it.

It was painted. A painting of the two, under their favorite tree. Five was reading and Rio was leaning on him, his head on the other's shoulder.

"This is so cool! It's beautiful, thank you" the raven smiled, hugging quickly the smaller boy. "Of course" Rio just smiled.

"I have something for you too," Five said, pulling away. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a-

-end of flashback-

Rio was sitting on his old bed, having a wooden dolphin he got from Five when he was thirteen. Five made that for him.

It hurt him. Knowing he'd probably never see Five again. He was crying, smiling, and drinking. Because that was the only thing he could do.

He then went into Ben's room too, and then into Five's. Memories were flooding through his mind. He was thinking about that one time they danced.

Suddenly, there was a blue light shining from the backyard, Rio was startled but decided to go outside anyway.

It was a blue vortex and by the time he came to look at it, Five was standing on the ground. Rio thought he finally lost his mind.

He thought he was crazy. Everything stopped for him. When he and Five made eye contact, he freaked out and ran into the house.

"Rio?" Five called out, but no response. When he got to the living room, he heard soft sobs from under the bar. "Rio?" he said again, looking at the boy, who was hugging his legs, crying.

"Hey," Five smiled at him. "Go away," the brunette said, not even looking at him. Five was confused, he hadn't seen him in years, and he wanted him to go away.

"Hey, what's wrong" Five put his hand on his shoulder. "You're not real, I know... now save me even more pain and disappear again" Rio mumbled, sobbing.

"What are you talking about?" Five asked, not getting what was the boy saying. "Just. Go." the crying boy said as Five got up. "Okay, I'll be in the kitchen" he walked away, leaving the other alone.

Rio spent the next few minutes mentally breaking down, he wouldn't think he'd lose his mind so soon.

He got up, walking to Five's room, just laying on the bed. He pulled out his wallet and took out a small bag with some pills.

'Maybe some oxy will help' the boy thought and swallowed two pills, gulping it down with the booze.
