Capítulo XVI- Ir a lo desconocido
The Hargreeves' family's quick and heavy footsteps echoed through the tunnel. It made their heavy breathings from adrenaline non-existent. Vydia felt Five's fingertips hovering over her back. She was right behind Allison. Their pace slowed as they reached the end. Lila opened the door with Diego behind her, hoisting up the harpoon gun. When the room was clear, they exited the tunnel to check the hall.
The Umbrellas and Sparrows dispersed in the room, glancing in different directions. The buffalo room was all the same, except inverted. The buffalo's rear stuck out of the wall rather than the head. Vydia raised an eyebrow at it and slowly turned away.
Viktor heaved as they made way to the center of the room. They weren't sure how far they ran, but if the adrenaline from escaping the end wasn't enough to get their hearts racing, the tunnel's length did. "Let's never do that again."
"What, narrowly escape the apocalypse?" Five questioned, fixing his hair into place.
Diego clutched the harpoon closer to himself and peaked over the door, replying, "It's kind of our thing, isn't it?"
Vydia scoffed. "Unfortunatly."
Allison turned to Ben as he flicked the buffalo's tail. "There's something very wrong about that."
"Same suite, just ass-backward," Lila pointed out.
Five remarked, "No hyperbole there."
"This is some hardcore Alice in Wonderland shit."
"Yeah, it only gets weirder," Diego unfortunately confirmed.
Reginald raced out of the tunnel. He rapidly shut the door and leaned against it, out of breath. He quietly huffed out, "At last, the other side."
Viktor stumbled over his words. "W-Wait. Where's Klaus?"
Vydia glimpsed around the room, counting the people. She couldn't find a head of long, wavy hair. She should have known better than to walk right into the tunnel without looking behind. It wasn't a coincidence Luther was killed after they voted to stay behind. Now Klaus?
"Children, I'm sorry, but your brother... I did all I could-"
"Bullshit," Vydia snapped. She stepped up to him, still keeping a lid over the anger boiling inside her. It wasn't fair how they lost two people when the rest of them were standing in the room. "You left him behind!"
"That's absurd! Why would I? When the future of our universe is in our hands? He didn't make it through in time. The Kugelblitz has claimed its last victim," he explained, panting.
Five firmly said, "No, he was right behind me when I entered the tunnel."
Sloane gently pulled Vydia away from Reginal. Vydia let her. It was not the time to blow up in his face when they had no idea what they were up against. Sloane pled, "We need to go back."

"There's nothing to go back to. Children, there will be time for tears later. Right now, we have to keep moving." Everyone's eyes followed him as he made way to the door, tucking his journal to his side.
"Wait. Luther and Klaus?" Viktor coaxed.
They exchanged glances and carefully followed behind him. Five and Vydia let their family be the first out of the door. They stayed behind to keep an eye out. It wasn't a coincidence that both brothers died less than an hour apart and they were not the only people who thought that.
When they arrived at the elevators, Reginald had the doors opened. They squeezed into small space as much as they could. As of right now, they couldn't risk separating into groups. Thankfully, the elevator ride felt shorter than Hotel Obsidian. Vydia didn't question it. Not when they were in another alleged dimension.
Just like the white buffalo suite, the lobby didn't look any different. The only difference was the lights inside the tall beams aligned in a row and a blue hue coming from the building's doors.
"It's magnificent," Reginald breathed out. He led the gifted group down the steps as they surveyed the room for an attacker.
"You guys should've stayed here," Ben suggested. "This place is way nicer."
Diego reminded him, "Lila and I barely got out alive last time. Remember?"
"But I'm here this time, and the numbers are in our favor."
"Well, whatever it was, it was strong, fast, and super pissed," Lila commented.
Diego made a turn to the front desk. He pointed at a bell, advising, "All right, so, whatever yo do, do not ring this bell. Unless you wanna lose a finger or a tentacle."
Ben rolled his eyes and turned his head away.
Frustrated, Sloane reached for the bell. "I'll take my chances"
Lila blocked her access to it. "Don't!"
She demanded, "Get out of my way."
"To take out this thing, we need to be in the right state of mind."
"State of mind? Do you mean, am I angry? Yes, I am angry. I wanna kill whatever it is that hurt Luther!"
Five peeled away from Vydia as she approached the mourning woman. "Sloane, if we ring that bell without a plan, Luther won't be the only one who dies." She could have cried, looking into Sloane's eyes. Her hand carefully rested on her arm. Her thumb gently caressed her as she consoled. "That thing could have killed him and almost chopped Diego's hand off. Those samurais aren't a walk on the part."
"We have to be smart about this. I'm angry, okay? We all are," Viktor added. "Luther isn't the only one that's gone. We lost Klaus too."
"Yeah." Lila assured, "When the time is right, we'll act."
Diego peered at his brother's curiosity about the doors. "Don't even try it, Five. Doors won't let you out." Five took his work and returned to them.
"So, what, we're stuck here?" Allison sassed.
Reginald answered, "This place is a test and a trap and a means of salvation all at once."
"Does anyone know what that sign says?" Viktor gestured to the folded black paper. Placed in the center were Japanese characters, colored in white. The only eligible print read the name The Hotel Oblivion. The warning from future Five and Pogo.
"Yeah, it says 'Do not ring the bell.'. That's what that means," Diego retorted. Vydia snatched the thick paper off the counter. He held his hand out, "Woah, watch it. We don't want to set anything off."
