Once your bellies were sufficiently full, you made your way back to the dragon sanctuary.

Hiccup glided through the wind on Toothless, a wide smile etched on his mouth. Toothless let out a happy rumble, and Hiccup chuckled, patting the Night Fury's head. "Yeah, bud, this is perfect," he murmured, his gaze drifting over to his left.

You soared through the clear blue sky of the archipelago, a grin spread across your sun-kissed face. Leafchaser cooed from beneath you. Toothless responded with a dreamy rumble, flexing his dorsal blades in an attempt to impress her. You began giggling at the Night Fury's half-lidded eyes and gaping mouth. Hiccup rolled his eyes, giving you an amused look. A wide, toothy grin appeared on your face. It crinked the edges of your eyes and showed off the small smile lines at the edges of your lips. Hiccup's face fell, and suddenly he felt like the fool Toothless was being. His eyes softened, his mouth parting as he evaluated your features. Your cheeks darkened under his intense stare, and you looked away. The brunette blinked slowly, gulping as he tore his eyes off of you and your b̶e̶a̶u̶t̶i̶f̶u̶l̶ face.

Valka trailed behind you, observing you and Hiccup with a small smile. Cloudjumper grimaced, letting out an exasperated rumble. Hiccup's mother chuckled, shaking her head slowly.

You turned to Hiccup, a flash of mischief in your eyes. "You wanna race, Dragon Master?" You asked playfully, cocking your head to the side.

Hiccup grinned. "Sure, m'lady," he answered casually, tightening his grip on Toothless' saddle.

Your eyes narrowed, heat rising to your face. You were too distracted to realize the Night Fury had sped off. Luckily, Leafchaser had the sense to zoom after him, flapping her large dual wings intensely. You narrowed your eyes, a light hue of pink on your cheeks.

"That was unfair play, Hiccup Haddock!" You called out.

The brunette looked back at you with a cheeky smile. "Full name, huh?" He exclaimed teasingly.

You rolled your eyes, urging Leafchaser on. "You stand no chance anyway," you said with a small smile.

Hiccup laughed, nudging Toothless. "You hear that, bud? She thinks she can beat us."

Leafchaser was now wing to wing with her Night Fury friend, both battling to emerge victorious. The two dragons twisted and turned in the air, performing intricate loops and dives that left their riders feeling slightly sick.

"First to the baby's nest!" You exclaimed, shooting Hiccup a competitive grin.

The brunette nodded, eyes furrowing in concentration like he always did. "You're on!" Hiccup replied.

The two dragons surged forward, their powerful wings cutting through the air. Your laughter echoed around them as Leafchaser pulled ahead, but Toothless was right on her tail. The wind whipped through Hiccup's hair, and he felt a rush of exhilaration.

As you neared the giant ice glacier, you glanced back at Hiccup, eyes twinkling. "Looks like I'm winning!" you teased.

Hiccup smirked. "Not for long!"

Leafchaser sped across the sky, gliding around the ice and darting through a small opening. Hiccup narrowed his eyes, guiding his Night Fury through another path.

You weaved around ice spikes and through basalt corridors before you emerged into the tropical-like sanctuary. A small grin played on your lips until you spotted Hiccup sliding off Toothless below. He smirked, shrugging his shoulders in a teasing way. You glared daggers at him, to which he chuckled. Leafchaser touched down on the grass, rumbling in annoyance, while Toothless gave her a happy smile. Hiccup extended a hand to help you down, but you ignored it, planting your feet firmly on the soft earth.
