My mouth curved up into a smirk as I watched Domonic and Dominique trash talk each other as they played a game of Uno. They were the only two remaining in the game that had started with five people. Domonic was down to three cards and Domonique had five.

I crossed my leg over the other, taking a sip of the punch someone had made. Whoever made it had done a good job, it tasted like pineapples and a little soda mixed together with other things I couldn't quite put a name on.

"UNO!" Domonic screamed, slapping his card down.

Dominique rolled her eyes, placing a wild card down. "The color is red."

"UNO out." Domonic smirked, placing down a red card.

"Fuck!" Domonique shouted, stomping her feet.

"Don't be a sore loser." Domonic laughed.

"Shutup, you got lucky."

"Want to run it back?" Domonic questioned with a smirk.

"No." Domonique got up, going to take a seat next to her boyfriend. Domonic laughed, making his way over to sit beside me.

Domonic placed his arm around my neck, spreading his legs slightly. "You good over here?" He questioned.

"Yeah, I'm good." I tucked my silk pressed hair behind my ear.

Domonic reached out, smoothing my hair down. "I like when your hair is straightened. It's my favorite style on you."

"Thank you." I blushed, taking another sip of my punch.

"Have you tasted the punch? It's really good."

"Nah." Domonic took my cup, taking gulps from it. When he finished, the cup was empty.

"You were supposed to taste the punch not drink all of it."

"My bad." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes. "I'll go get you some more." He stood up, heading over to the punch. While he was gone, Domonique slid beside me.

"Hey girl." She smiled.

"Hey." I returned her smile.

"Are you enjoying yourself?"

"Yeah, I've been having a good time. You and Shayla did a really good job planning this."

"Thank you." She smiled. "I love planning things, especially holiday gatherings and birthdays."

"I can tell. Do you plan things for other people?"

"No, just family and friends. But everyone says I should start a business doing that."

"You should, like everything is really nice in here."

"Yeah, but I don't think I have the time to really commit to planning other people's parties. My main focus right now is growing my photography business."

"You take pictures?" I questioned.

"Yes, let me show you some of my work." She pulled out her phone and began scrolling through her phone.
