November 26th, Stellar Year 2145

On the Eastern side of the Eighty-Sixth district of the San Magnolia Republic. Stinger Squadron had just returned from a mission to eliminate a battalion of Legion facing them down. Stinger Squadron had twenty-four processors just two weeks ago and now they were down to just sixteen.

Handler One: Nice job out there Eighty-Six. Put on a hell of a show for the boys. We made a drinking game, a shot every time we hear one of you die! Ahahaha. How was it for you Mantis?

Mantis: Pleasant sir. We just love dying for the Republic...

Handler One: Hahaha, whatever. Go do whatever the fuck you pigs do. I'll contact you for the next game.

The para-raid connected to the Handler disconnected leaving Mantis leaning against the rail of the boys while sighing.

Mantis reached down into her pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes with only three inside of them

Mantis reached down into her pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes with only three inside of them.

Mantis: Damn...almost out.

???: Hey Captain, you good?

Mantis: I'm fine Sakura. Just...a hard day.

Sakura: Yeah...but didn't you say we were getting some reinforcements?

Mantis: Reinforcement. We're only getting one new soldier.

Sakura: Only one? *sigh* If we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all.

Mantis: Yup. *lights a cigarette and takes a puff.

Sakura: I still don't know how you find those things...

Mantis: I have my ways. New recruit will be here in 2 hours. Guess we should greet them.

Sakura: Alright...

*2 Hours Later*

As time passed by soon a cargo plane flew onto the airstrip in front of the base.

Mantis: I guess they're here...

Mantis along with Sakura walked onto the airstrip as the plane landed and the Republic soldiers began exiting the plane.

Republic soldier 1: Get the fuck back you pigs.

One of the soldiers aimed at the two girls with his rifle.

Republic Soldier 2: Calm down soldier, these pigs won't do a damn thing. They know who they're masters are. Anyway you have supplies, ammo, ration packs along with that new recruit of yours.

Mantis: I don't see him.

Republic Soldier 1: I'll go get him.

The soldier smiled sadistically as he walked back onto the plane and grabbed a boy by his collar and dragged him out of the plane. He had cuts and bruises all over his face and body, one of his eyes was swollen shut. That was completely unusual for the Republic soldiers to do to the Eighty-Six, the only thing strange was...the boy had the hair of an Alba.
