A weeks had passed, and every time I texted Jennie, she left me on delivered. The silence was deafening. After everything we went through, after what we did during the camp... I thought she'd at least consider me more... but instead, she was pulling away again. It was as if we were going back to square one again...

I leaned back in my chair, staring at my phone with a sinking feeling in my chest. Why was she avoiding me? What the hell was going on?
Out of frustration, I started scrolling through the news of my computer, anything to distract myself. That's when I saw it... Jennie and Hoyeon, plastered across the headlines.
My heart dropped as I read the article.
Their two year engagement was finally leading to a wedding...

"Jennie's really going to marry that thing?"
My voice came out in a growl, my hand tightening into a fist, knuckles turning white.
The jealousy hit me like a tidal wave, but underneath, there was something deeper, something darker. I couldn't let this happen.
I couldn't let Jennie marry Hoyeon.

I got up abruptly, the decision already made.
The jealousy, the envy, the fire inside. It all fueled me, and before I knew it, I was heading to Seoul South Korea. There was no stopping me.
Hours later, I landed, ignoring the paparazzi swarming the airport. "Ms. Manoban, we'll exit through the private route," one of my men advised, as I was already in the car, my destination clear.

When we pulled up to the Kim residence, the familiar faces of the staff greeted me with the same cautious smiles. They knew me well enough to know I wasn't here for a casual visit. The head maid stepped forward, her tone hesitant. "Welcome, Ms. Manoban. What brings you here?"

"I'm here to see Jennie,"
I replied, my voice low, steady.
She hesitated for a second before stepping aside, allowing me through.

"The young madam is in the garden with Kuma," she said softly, but that was all I needed.
I was already walking toward the garden, the familiar path stirring old memories.
Jennie only ever came to the garden when she needed to clear her head from a problem, to find solace in the flowers and sunlight.
That alone told me something was wrong, but I wasn't here to let her hide anymore.
