Chapter 60 Bring Me The Case Sheet Of Maithili?

Maithili was enthusiastic to spend some quality time connecting and knowing her Nanaji, she pulled Raghu to the corner and said, " Raghuji , I will get my books and other stuff that I will need from the hostel and I want to go to Nanaji's house tomorrow?" She looked like a little girl asking for a candy at the candy store. Raghu cackled at her damn innocent expression. Lately Raghu was loving everything about her, the way she speaks, the way she walks, the way she eats, the way she looks at the morning sun, the first thing she wakes up and greets Sun God by praying, all in all, he could never get enough of her.

  " First of all , call me Raghu,you need to practice that. I will not answer you if you call me Raghuji the next time. Understood?"

  Maithili nodded in a yes.

Raghu continued, " Tomorrow I have some work, so we may not be able to go to Dadaji's house, but I can try we can go there tomorrow night and do get everything from the hostel because you are not going back there. You will comute to the college from home. "

Maithili was not happy with it at all, " Raghuji.... I mean.. Raghu? Why can't I stay the hostel? " she asked.

Raghu answered," Baby, do you want to stay away from me? why are you so ruthless?I am dying to be with you. We lived away from each other for 2 fucking long years. I don't want to and I can't live away from you anymore. "

  Raghu took Maithili's little hand and put it on her chest, where his heart beat and said," This heart beats for you and only you, Maithili .Do you feel the rhythm? How intense it is when you are close to me. Do you even know what I want ?"

Maithili was too shy to look at him , she looked down at her toes, when Raghu cupped her cheeks in his big palms and lifted her face up and asked , " Look at me, Baby, what do you see in my eyes?"

Maithili looked in his eyes, and the moment their eyes connected the world around blurred and noises faded, her mind drew blank. In his eyes, she saw unending love and passion, promises , and there were myriad of emotions. Some she could decipher some not. They both were riveted to their spot and were held hostage in each other's gaze. Just then, they heard somebody clearing their throat bring them back to the earth.

  " I see sparks flying..." It was Naav . She said, " Oh my God, the chemistry is out of the world. I had only read about it in novels, but now I am witnessing it in reality and from the most unexpected pair. What a turn of events .." She rambled on , making Maithili melt in shyness.

  Raghu blushed at Naav's words.

Govardhan was as enthusiastic as Maithili, if not more, to take the couple home. " Maithili, Raghu? How about tomorrow ? Can you both come home tomorrow ? I would rather suggest today to go home with me but I know you would want to take some time to prepare, but if you agree I would be really glad." Govardhan divulged.

  Raghu cackled ," Dadaji, you seem more eager than Maithili. We will come tomorrow night? Today would not be possible, though. "

  Dadaji's eyes were sparkling with happiness. He hugged Raghu by his shoulders, and he enunciated, " Beta, manjoon hain... tum dono aaraheho yehi mereliye bohut badi baath hai. (Son, I agree with you. You agreed to come home with your wife, that is enough to make me happy.)"

Raghu held his Dadaji affectionately and said that he would come to his house the next day late in the evening.

  The next morning, Raghu was busy with the patients, and he entered the opd, and when he entered the patient examination room. He was stunned to find Maithili sitting there in a gown. She was the patient.

  He strode in hurried steps, Maithili snapped her head towards the door when she heard the footsteps and was nonplussed to find Raghu there.

Raghu asked, " What happened? Why are you here,Maithili? "

Maithili was not prepared for this. She said, "Nothing serious, I guess, but I.... I just wanted to make sure .. I asked for Dr. Sheetal Shah. I wanted a lady doctor,please?"

  "To hell with the lady doctor, tell me what's wrong ?" Raghu demanded, and he looked intimidating.

  Maithili swallowed hard, and she turned crimson . She did'nt know how to say it.

  " I am... I.. " Maithili stuttered.

  Raghu lost it. He was highly strung to find Maithili in the oncology department.

  He called," Nurse... Nurse..."

The nurse came in rushing inside.

  " Yes, Doctor?" She asked.

  " Bring me the case sheet of Maithili?" He demanded.

  " But Dr Kashyap, she is Dr. Shah's patient. " the nurse countered.

  " I don't care.Get me her case sheet, NOW?" He demanded.

  The nurse scrambled out without a word of protest. After all, he was the HOD of the department, so she brought in Maithili's case sheet.

She quietly handed him the case sheet and asked,  "Dr.Kashyap, do you need anything else?"

" Nothing as of now, but I will let you know if I do."  He said and dismissed her.
