"Is this all what Pythia said?" Zeus asks in his usual, strict tone as his eyes lands on you.
Apollo nods before speaking, "yes, it seems that she is a new goddess after all." Apollo quickly looking at you and then back to Zeus. You were right there, beside him, feeling everyones eyes piercing through you.
"This is outrageous! How could a person exist in the heart of the ocean and I didn't know?" Poseidon takes a step forward, looking quite furious.
"Maybe because when Zeus asked you to investigate the deep waters, you declined as you were too busy trying to seduce Amphitrite with a dolphin." Athena steps up, speaking with a authoritative tone, and a few of the gods chuckled.
Poseidon turned slightly red, and you wonder if it was because of anger, embarrassed, or maybe both.
"How dares an unmarried and childless woman as yourself critize a man with all of this?" He was at this point yelling.
"You are out of line, Poseidon." Ares spoke up, glaring at him.
"Oh, did I hit a nerve? But I bet you don't relate to her, considering you took someone else's woman and she then cheated on you with someone she fell in love with when he was a baby." he said with bitter tone and you could not stand there and watch any longer.
"Oh my gods, can you not? All I've heard from you for the past two days is 'How dare you!' or 'This is unacceptable!' We have a prophecy that says there's a fifty-fifty chance the world might end, and all you care about is punishing me? Are you sure you're not just a tall child?" you spoke out loud as you had finally enough with his noncense.
Now Poseidon had definitely become red from anger.
"Zeus! How can you let a mere mortal speak to the king of the sea this way?"
"Poseidon-"
"I believe it has become as clear as day that she is not a mere motal," Hera interrupts Zeus, looking coldly at Poseidon, "and it is not right to want her gone when she might be the saviour from a destruction."
"Or the reason that a salvation will not happen." It was Demeter's turn to interrupt Hera. "Can we really trust something so big to her?"
"Is there any other choice? The only information we have is that she can both be the key or the lock, but if we do not give her a hard time, she might be both in our favour." Hermes speaks as he looks at you.
Have they forgotten you are right there, hearing the whole conversation?
Zeus looked skeptical, looking as if he was trying to take a decision that pleased all. But he knew that such a thing was near to impossible.
"She will be a goddess for now. Through worship, supplication, and blessings, we shall see if she is truly fit to be a goddess or something else." Zeus spoke up and the the palace became noisy
"When you say something else," you began, feeling anxious as to how this is going to work, "you don't mean a nymph, right? Because I believe we all know what happens to nymphs, especially by gods." You maintained your posture, trying to understand the situation.
If you were to be a nymph, you would most definitely not accept it.
Especially when you know that you and Pan are on the same world.
Zeus does not look too fazed, but the room kept being noisy, "You will know when it is time to know. Until then," he gets up from the throne and so does his wife "we shall see how you will do as a new goddess."
Ans with that, him and Hera start to walk over the exit.
But you still had so many questions!
"Wait!" Your tone was a bit too loud than what you would have liked. "Where will I sleep? Or rest, or, I don't know have my own space?"
