Since I'm a demon, guess I'll be taking over. Sorry about the less than classy version of story telling.

Humans are Fey. They live a thousand years and wield the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, or Water.

General rule is we all get one.

Shin, Shinobi and or Shadow Warriors, are technically Fey, but have the benefit of being taught for a hundred years to be the baddest of the bad with techniques to maximize the power of their bodies, minds and wells like the original Champions of Eteria taught them ages back.

Shin are ninjas for a lack of a better term that are about five times stronger, faster and more powerful than the average Feyling.

Now, don't get it twisted.

Where we're at, on the northernmost border called the Divide, most folks have other blood in them, which fudges those numbers a bit.

Even if they don't show the features or change like the Sacred and Blessed, demon blood makes a difference. With humans being fairies, and ages being stages covered by the little lost Princess, let's get into the 'demon' aspect.

Sages are neither demons nor devils. They are the old gods, and protectors. Animals five to ten times larger than their earth counterparts with the ability to read minds, cast the elements, and the wisdom of ages.

Oni. Lesser demons, also referred to as Blessed other bloods with Sages features, senses and have the strength of ten men minimum. They're either born with those identifiers or get them at Growth, and there's no disguising it.

Horns, fangs, wings, spotting, claws, whiteless eyes, you name it. Their animal features depend on the Sage that blessed their lines, and there are a lot of them.

Oni make up a little less than half the Isle on their own, realized or not.

Yonkai are greater demons or Sacred. They can actually look full human until they shift in into their other forms. Again, based on the Sage that turned their particular clan.

Yon can use their senses most of the time, but are only about eight times stronger than Feylings out of the shift. When they actually transition into their demon form, Yon are twenty times as powerful.

Oni can weave the spark, but only Yon can cast it.

So casts, weaves, sparks, these are the abilities that come from Mytha, and why developing our Wells is so important. In the old world, Mytha was called Essence, the Emperors' gift. On the Mainland, the concept is similar to Qi.

Wells are the reservoirs in our bodies that decide how much we can get or use at any given time, and our training pushes that capacity to the max by the time they are fully developed at a hundred years old.
