Chapter 18: Emotion. Validating Emotions

Felix returns with a determination to reclaim what he desires. Utilizing the power of emotion, he aims to eliminate anyone in his way, including Ladybug. Can Ladybug cope on her own, especially when the sky begins to glow?

Marinette stood frozen on the ground, her heart pounding as she pleaded for her life. Monarch seemed to have finally won, but his silence was unnerving.

Equity, trembling with fear after the recent events, knelt on one knee and handed back the earrings to Marinette, who was still visibly traumatized. Slowly, it began to sink in that this ordeal might finally be over.

"Marinette... I- I'm so sorry for everything... I've really messed up this time, haven't I?" Equity's voice quivered, her eyes filled with sorrow and guilt as she met Marinette's gaze.

"No, Equity, it wasn't your fault!" Marinette assured her, despite the shock still evident in her voice.

"Yes, I know you're very shaken right now, but I promise you, we can fix this problem together!" Marinette added, her determination cutting through her own fear.

Equity took a moment to process Marinette's suggestion, then nodded in agreement. "I think we can work together, but now I've lost sight of the man who framed me," she noted, helping Marinette to her feet and scanning the surroundings.

"We should look for Cat Noir. He and his friend are searching the area for anything suspicious, so we should catch up with them!" Marinette suggested urgently.

"Good idea, Marinette. I'll be right behind you," Equity replied, ready to follow her lead.

"TIKKI, SPOTS ON!" Marinette shouted as she transformed back into Ladybug. She soared into the air with her yo-yo, heading towards the beach. Equity followed closely behind, determined to make things right.

**Back at Felix's Place**

Felix stood by the window, watching over London as the city began to brighten. The sun was setting, heralding the arrival of Friday night.

Duusuu, glancing around the house, was trying on tiny outfits and hats she found. She seemed to somewhat enjoy her little fashion show, yet she couldn't help but notice Felix's unusual silence. His mother wasn't around, adding to the eerie quiet.

"Felix, why are you so quiet?" Duusuu asked, her curiosity piqued.

"My dear friend, I have been waiting for this moment for weeks now..." Felix's voice was calm yet filled with anticipation. "Now that I know what Izir is up to tomorrow, I can use that to my advantage and finally set my cousin free from his father's grasp, and I'll rid us of him forever."

The thought of taking the Miraculous had been harsh, but Felix found solace in the powerful artifact he now possessed. While it wasn't the wisest choice, it fueled his resolve to eliminate Monarch just as much as Ladybug wished to.

"You're not planning to do much harm, are you?" Duusuu inquired, sensing the tension in the air.

"Well, it'll be quick and painless... That's a lie, though..." Felix admitted with a dark smirk. "But it will undoubtedly be my biggest plan yet. I may have failed once before, but now, I am more determined than ever. I'll get rid of everyone who stands in my way."

Duusuu didn't like the sound of Felix's dangerous plan, but she knew there was no point in arguing. Choosing to distance herself, she retreated to another room, fighting to keep her emotions in check.
