Mark's POV
As I strolled through New Eden's shelter compound, I couldn't help but marvel at the advanced technology surrounding me. Solar panels, wind turbines, and hydroponic gardens seemed to defy the harsh realities of the post-war world.
"I've never thought such tech still existed," I muttered, shaking my head.
The sounds of laughter and playful shouts drew my attention. A group of children chased each other, their carefree joy infectious. I watched as a faint smile appeared on my face.
As I continued walking, I caught the attention of several women, who whispered among themselves, their eyes locked onto me. Their giggles and blushes made me uncomfortable.
Men, on the other hand, regarded me with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
I spotted a bar with a neon sign reading "The Haven." I pushed open the door, a dimly lit bar that seemed to pulse with its rhythm. The air was thick with the scent of smoke and cheap perfume.
The room fell silent, all eyes on me. Women's faces flushed as they looked at my physique, while men's expressions turned guarded.
As I approached the bar, the bartender, a gruff-looking man with a thick beard and a scar above his left eyebrow, eyed me warily. "What can I get you?"
"Water, please," I replied, my voice firm.
He handed me a glass, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You're new around here."
I nodded, taking a sip of my water.
A group of women slid onto stools beside me, their perfume enveloping me.
Sophie, a petite blonde with piercing blue eyes and full lips painted crimson, wore a fitted red dress that hugged her curves. Her hair cascaded down her back in loose waves.
Sophie
Rainell, a curvy redhead with emerald green eyes and a flirtatious glint, sported a tight black corset and a skirt that barely covered her thighs. Her nails were long and sharp, painted blood red.
