- Chapter 3 -
~There was a sudden shower of rain the next day, and the girls loved it. Every single one of them had a weird obsession with rain, either one with the smell of wet earth, or another with the sound of the drops hitting the window. Cyra didn't know why she loved the rain so much, she just did. She laid her head on the bus window as she stared at the trip to school.~
"I'm sorry i took Ruaan's lunch yesterday." I admited.
Vaibhavi looked at me with her brows furrowed, "It's not your fault, Cy'. After all, he's a very nice guy!" She calmed me down, gently caressing my shoulder. "I'm still sorry if i hurt your feelings, though. Now that i think about it, it looks so wrong that i did that and accepted his lunch offering."
"Cyra, he's way too nice and down to earth, this isn't just the first time, he had given me his lunch too when i left mine a couple times back in 5th grade. Chill.." She gave a reassuring smile at my worry and anxiousness.
I nodded and accepted her statement, continuing to doze of for rest of the ride to school.
~But the guilt in Cyra wasn't just going to fade away like that, she was person who could easily feel bad for something she didn't do. With yesterday in mind, she fell asleep on the ride to school, like always. She wasn't easily convinced about something that wasn't her fault, but she found an escape to the worry by falling asleep. As they reached school, Vaibhavi woke her up, leading her to class.~
Jhanvi was waiting at the door for me, as i walked in with a drowsy face, she dragged me away from Vaibhavi, causing a shock in both me and Vaibhavi. I was suddenly awakened by her strong grip as she dragged me to a corner. "Did you see that?" she questioned, "See what?" my brows furrowed. She signaled her eyes towards our table, making my eyes move towards her direction. "What? There's Arya and Minal." I stated based on my observing. She rolled her eyes and smacked her lips, "Look a bit more!" She whispered, and i did, i looked around the area and then i caught it..
Vaibhavi's place was next to mine, Jhanvi was beside her and Minal and Arya together, but we usually sat differently but it was alright as long as i had them. Dhyan, Gyan and their friends in front of us, some classmates who i didn't even know existed towards our left, and then...
RUAAN WAS SITTING AT THE CORNER OF THEIR TABLE..
He usually sat at the other end, beside the wall but today was different, i was seated at the right corner and he was.. surprisingly next to me. I mean not totally but his table's end. This was different. He caught my gaze and immediately flashed a smile, waving over at me, calling me over.
I turned to Jhanvi, "What the actual fuck?" Jhanvi now seemed to be satisfied, "Exactly."
"Why is he there, though?" She shrugged her shoulders, "When i asked him, he said he just wanted to sit there so he did.." She said, sounding as if she didn't believe him. This was weird.I mean it was not a big thing but it was. "And that's why i put you at the end." She said, hiding the mischief in her face."YOU-" i started chasing her around the classroom itself as she dropped the act and started laughing, "What's going on?!" I asked, genuinely confused at why everyone were hinting something. "I'm trying to help Vaibhavi out!" she yelled, stopping me.
"Wait- yeah- makes sense.." I thought about it. "Why didn't you tell me earlier, you made me run out of my only energy!" I hit her back and then we walked to our table, chatting. I dropped my bag on my chair as i tried walked away to talk to my friends at the other side of the class but Vaibhavi pulled me to her side, "I'm right here!"
"Wha- No, i was going over to Arya-"
"Come on, it's alright."
~Cyra felt annoyed, she was tired of always being hung onto Vaibhavi, not that she hated her but she wanted some time with her friends too. She was also her friend but she had her own, personal friend circle.~
