SUNLIGHT BEAMED THROUGH THE WINDOW AND PAINTED THE ROOM IN A GOLDEN GLOW. Brunette peaked up from under the mound of pastel quilts and gentle snores filled the otherwise silent bedroom. Fingers twitched as dreams filled the girl's head. But it was soon interrupted by the sound of her father's voice booming from downstairs.
"Rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty!" Aurora groaned as she heard Charlie's boots make their way up to her room. "Aurora, come on time to get up. First day back after spring break, can't be late."
"I'm up," The brunette sighed as she pushed herself up to sit on her bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Why are you so excited anyway? Did Billy admit you danced better?"
"Not yet." Her father chuckled as he made his way into the room. "Nope, apparently a new doctor is staring at the hospital, the mayor wants me to go and meet him since we would probably be working with each other from time to time."
Aurora raised her brows. A new doctor in Forks was big, with a town this small nothing good hardly ever happened. So, the fact that they were getting a new doctor surprised her.
"His kids are also going to be starting today so keep an eye out for them. Help them out if they need anything, ya know?"
"I got you, dad." The girl smiled as she finally climbed out of bed and got to work gathering up the stuff, she would need to get ready. "You heading out?"
"Yep, just wanted to make sure you were up before I left. I'll see you at Billy's after work, okay?" Charlie called over his shoulder as he walked out of her room.
"See you there! Love you, be careful!" She yelled as she heard the front door shut. "Another day, another headache."
Aurora got dressed quickly after taking a short shower, pulling on an old Lion King shirt and her favorite pair of baggy jeans. She tamed her brunette hair into messy space buns and tied up the look with her signature yellow Converse. And she still had an hour to spare before school started.
