CH~2 || Blame and Inquire

Third person's Pov

"What are you doing here?" he asked with face laced in confusion.

"I..I'm here for the dinner. They said it was a meeting arranged by your family." She said equally confused.

"One minute" He excused himself and went to call him mother. She picked up after the first ring.

"yes dear"

"Why? You know her don't you? You know what her family did to us and you still chose to set me up with her?" Taehyung asked.

"I do know. But your father wants this marriage." His mother stated.

"But why? Her father killed our grandfather" Taehyung questioned his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Her father did but he is dead now. This marriage but happen in order to complete the contract which you already know. You both might not like each other. But this marriage must happen" His mother said firmly.

"Marry her? This is absolute madness"

Taehyung hung the call in anger. 

Taking a deep breath he walked towards Yn and sat in front of her not knowing what to speak. She was the daughter of the man who killed their grandfather and also who accused their family of killing her father as revenge.

Yn's Pov

I was sitting in front of the murderer of my father. I stared at him for a good few minutes. 

"So why did you father set this up? To kill me as well? Just like they killed my father" I asked my eyes moistening at the memory of finding my father dead in our house. Stabbed multiple times.

"We didn't kill you father. It was he who killed my grandfather" He muttered angrily.

"You did. We didn't kill your grandfather. My father definitely didn't kill your grandfather and we don't have any reason to do so. And do you have any proof to prove my father guilty?" I asked my voice slightly louder.

"Lower your voice" He said gritting his teeth "And this marriage is going to happen no matter what our decision. Its decided and your mother has agreed. And don't try anything stupid because if you do, well you company isn't going to end well. " He said sternly.

"What do you mean by my company won't end well?. Are you threatening me Kim?" I asked with visible anger.

"No. My grandfather and your father had a business deal before they died. And now the deal has fallen apart due to their deaths. They had a contract to get the family united through marriage of my grandfather's daughter and your father but it remained incomplete as your father had married your mother. Now to complete the contract and keep the partnership going, a marriage must be done between both the families. and if you decide to break the partnership, your other clients will also leave." He said in a low yet harsh tone.

I stared at him not knowing what to do. I had no choice. This was a decision made by my father too regardless of how he died and who killed him.

Just then the waiter approached and asked  "Are you ready order?"

Yn's Pov

"Yes. 1 americano and..?" He trailed off indicating me to order.

"1 espresso" I muttered. The waiter bowed and left. Taehyung and I sat in uncomfortable silence.

"So my father and your grandfather has a secret partnership? and you showed that documents to my mom?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, we did. She knew her husband's wish of getting you married into our family until your father killed my grandfather and all of a sudden your dad died." He said quietly.

"But how did my mother agree?" I asked

"well since your mother knows if she denied the contract, the company would fall apart, she agreed to this. And mind you, I'm not interested in this one bit, but I'm agreeing to it as its my job as the CEO to maintain the wellbeing of my company and of course follow my father's orders" He muttered looking around.

Just then the waiter came with our order as i sat brooding while taking occasional sips.

"I want a copy of the contracts" I blurted suddenly as he nodded to my request.

We soon finished our drinks and left to our own homes.

I entered my home and saw my mom standing there. I walked towards her.

"Mom, Do you know how Taehyung's grandfather died?" I asked.

"I don't know dear. The only thing i know is that they both had a business dealing. And suddenly one night he was found dead and the Kim family blamed us saying that your father must have killed Mr.Kim to acquire the assets." My mother said.

"And what about dad?" I urged her on to speak.

"He died a few months later. I found him stabbed. And the only person who could have killed him is the Kim family. since no one else has anything to did with your dad." I nod as i smiled at my mom and left. I held the photocopy of the contract Taehyung had given me.

I read through the document carefully. It was clearly stated that Heir of his family and mine must marry.

"It is mandatory that an inter-familial marriage must occur between Mr.Kim's family and Mr.kang's family for the Project to proceed."

It was clear that my company clearly was dependent on the contract as the the company's clients were mostly linked to Kim Techs so if any dispute were to arise between Kim's and Kang's. They would leave our company causing it to collapse. I sighed placing the documents as i pondered over the marriage. I never wanted to face the people who caused my father's death but i also couldn't understand if my father could have killed his grandfather as i know how business worked.

I turned to my side and laid, my mind racing and didn't know when i fell asleep.

Taehyung's Pov

I went home later that night and was welcomed home by my mother's cheerful smile. I gave a tired smile before i entered and saw my father. I sat in front of him.

"Why dad? Why her? I understand the contract and all but is it necessary?" I asked him.

"It is. Its your grandfather's wish. We couldn't fulfil the inter-familial marriage, but you have to. you have no choice."

I groaned "But this isn't fair. Neither of us are involved in this mess and you wanna mess up our life from some stupid agreement made ages ago?"

"This isn't a stupid arrangement taehyung. you know that." He grunted.

Without a word, i stormed off upstairs and shut my door with a loud bang.

Was i destined to this? What if we ruin our lives? What if this turns into a bigger mess?

Here is the second part guys. Im trying my best to write it nicely. Im still confused on how to make the story interesting.
